My name is Sri Krishna Hari Das (Dr. Satish Gosain). I am a graduate in
medicine from Delhi University passed in 1973. I had worked in different
capacities in various hospitals in Delhi. Presently I am running Dr. Bharti
Nursing Home in Hari Nagar New Delhi India for the past 30 years.

I grew up in Delhi, India and have enjoyed different types of teas and
tisanes my entire life till I joined ISKCON 27 years back.

When I came to Krishna consciousness in May 1985 I was taught that
Austerity (Tapah) is 3rd pillar of Dharma and it is necessary to safeguard
it to progress in Krishna consciousness where it is required to avoid
intoxicants of any kind.

I am a disciple of H.H. Gopal Krishna Goswami Maharaj for 1st as well as
2nd initiation.

I am a Congregational preacher with ISKCON Delhi and NCR and do internet
preaching with 7000 members on my list. During my lectures in various areas
in Delhi & NCR I found people interested in Krishna Consciousness were
willing to follow four regulative principles but *found it difficult to
leave Black Tea.*

Keeping in view of this utmost need to progress in Krishna Consciousness
they wanted an alternative to black tea and coffee. Then I being a doctor
they requested me to give an alternative to black tea with Health benefits.

Though being a doctor of modern medicine yet I studied Ayurveda and
developed an Herbal Tea Infusion in 2002. I used to prepare a little
quantity and distribute to congregation devotees who were getting ready for
initiation (diksha) but could not leave black tea and it helped.

And then I realized over the years that this delightful, revitalizing,
refreshing herbal tea with delicious taste and exotic flavor is not only
helpful to Krishna Conscious devotees but it is a superb alternative to
black tea and *its body rejuvenating effect and health benefits are
excellent. It is the tea/tisane for all ages.*

It does not contain Black/Green Tea or Tulasi Leaves and is free from
Caffeine and Tannin

fulfilled from my Nursing home? *At retirement age this tea is not my

The exact method is consultation and counseling by senior devotees of that
area but it is best implemented in a temple setting where seniors know the
devotees concerned. Also it can be implemented by email where Temple
presidents can recommend devotees and send their profiles. As far as our
knowledge goes some ISKCON centers do this by email and by live sittings of
counselors. However they also have some challenges and not everyone is able
to get married and hence this site.

A group of senior grhastha congregational couples has agreed to render
their services for this job in Delhi and I hope to get the same for other

As there are symptoms for each and every man, in terms of his particular
situation, similarly one who is Krsna conscious has his particular nature
-- talking, walking, thinking, feeling, etc. As a rich man has his symptoms
by which he is known as a rich man, as a diseased man has his symptoms by
which he is known as diseased, or as a learned man has his symptoms, so a
man in transcendental consciousness of Krsna has specific symptoms in
various dealings. One can know his specific symptoms from the
Bhagavad-gita. Most important is how the man in Krsna consciousness speaks;
for speech is the most important quality of any man.* It is said that a
fool is undiscovered as long as he does not speak, and certainly a
well-dressed fool cannot be identified unless he speaks, but as soon as he
speaks, he reveals himself at once.* *The immediate symptom of a Krsna
conscious man is that he speaks only of Krsna and of matters relating to
Him. Other symptoms then automatically follow, as stated below.*

*Krsna Says He is fine speech*

I am all-devouring death, and I am the generating principle of all that is
yet to be. Among women I am fame, fortune, fine speech, memory,
intelligence, steadfastness and patience.

As soon as a man is born, he dies at every moment. Thus death is devouring
every living entity at every moment, but the last stroke is called death
itself. That death is Krsna. As for future development, all living entities
undergo six basic changes. They are born, they grow, they remain for some
time, they reproduce, they dwindle, and finally they vanish. Of these
changes, the first is deliverance from the womb, and that is Krsna. The
first generation is the beginning of all future activities.
*The seven opulences listed -- fame, fortune, fine speech, memory,
intelligence, steadfastness and patience -- are considered feminine. If a
person possesses all of them or some of them he becomes glorious. If a man
is famous as a righteous man, that makes him glorious. Sanskrit is a
perfect language and is therefore very glorious. If after studying one can
remember a subject matter, he is gifted with a good memory, or smrti. And
the ability not only to read many books on different subject matters but to
understand them and apply them when necessary is intelligence (medha),
another opulence. The ability to overcome unsteadiness is called firmness
or steadfastness (dhrti). And when one is fully qualified yet is humble and
gentle, and when one is able to keep his balance both in sorrow and in the
ecstasy of joy, he has the opulence called patience (ksama).*
