हमें नशे कि कुरीति से दूर रहना है. हमारे मिशन में नशे के लिए कोई जगह नहीं.
लेकिन इस कारण हमने किसी से नफरत नहीं करनी. जो भी व्यक्ति नशे का सेवन करता
है, हमने उसे प्रेरणा देनी है कि वह इसका त्याग कर दे, न कि उससे नफरत आरम्भ
कर देनी है. सन्त का यही कर्म होता है कि जो भी ऐसा हुकम आये, उसे जीवन में
अपना ले. अगर हम हुकम पर नहीं चलते तो चाहे कितने बड़े-बड़े समागम कर लिए
जाएँ, समाज पर उसका असर नहीं हो सकता. इसलिए हमने पहले संवय इस बात को अपनाना
है. दास यह कहना चाहता है कि हम हर तरह के नशे से परहेज़ करें, क्योंकि जहाँ
किसी किस्म का भी नशा होता है, वहां सोचने-समझने कि ताकत समाप्त हो जाती है,
बड़े-छोटे कि तमीज भूल जाती है.
