Beleaguered energy giant BP was hit with further bad news this morning as it
emerged dangerous arsenic levels have been found in seawater around the Gulf
of Mexico. British scientists warned that the oil spill is increasing the
level of arsenic in the ocean, and could further add to the devastating
impact on the already sensitive environment. BP's Deepwater Horizon rig has
been spilling between 3,681,500 litres and 911,454,000 litres of oil into
the sea per day since it exploded on April 22. The spill is already being
labeled as America's worst environmental disaster and has turned into a
economic and PR nightmare for the British company. Seventy-five days into
the spill, the oil has fouled some 715km of shoreline in four southeastern
US states, killed wildlife and put a massive dent in the region's
multi-billion-dollar fishing industry.

Want to buy a "long live the tea party" bumper sticker online? Soon, the
state government in Colorado could know that you purchased it, what you paid
for it, where it was shipped, what billing address you used, and a few other
details. A plan requiring that consumers' online purchases be tracked,
compiled into lists and reported annually has been launched in the state,
and now a lawsuit is challenging the constitutionality of the Big Brother
look into credit-card records. The Direct Marketing Association's lawsuit is
over the state's law that now gives "out-of-state retailers" the option of
demanding consumers pay to them the Colorado sales tax or complying with the
information compilation and reporting requirements. "The Department's
tax-policy director has stated publicly that he believes most affected
retailers would choose to collect Colorado sales tax to avoid the more
unpleasant option of having to send tax notices to their customers," the
lawsuit alleges. But there are threats to companies because of requirements
that they keep consumers' information private.

cooperative BPS bank says it's the first in Europe to install a biometric
ATM -- allowing customers to withdraw cash simply with the touch of a
fingertip. The digit-scanning ATM, introduced in the Polish capital of
Warsaw, runs on the latest in "finger vein" technology -- an authentication
system developed by Japanese tech giant Hitachi. The company says that an
infrared light is passed through the finger to detect a unique pattern of
micro-veins beneath the surface - which is then matched with a
pre-registered profile to verify an individual's identity. "This is a
substantially more reliable technique than using fingerprints," Peter Jones,
Hitachi's head of security and solutions in Europe, told CNN. "Our tests
indicate there is a one in a million false acceptance rate -- that's as good
as iris scanning, which is generally regarded as the most secure method."
Unlike fingerprints, which leave a trace and can be potentially reproduced,
finger veins are impossible to replicate, according to Jones, because they
are beneath the surface of the skin. "And before you ask, no -- it doesn't
work with fingers that have been chopped off," he added.

When The Hammer Finally

Predictions of the end of civilization are nothing new, but the direst
prognosticators have, traditionally, existed on the fringes of society,
where their dark visions can be comfortably attributed to an excess of
libertarianism or a shortage of Prozac. In the last few years, however,
something strange has happened. While there is no lack of survivalists
stockpiling cat food and rifles, some of the direst thinkers are now working
on Wall Street, where a combination of fear and foresight has many of the
country's money men contemplating their escape routes. The patron saint of
the Wall Street apocalypse society may be Barton Biggs. The leader of Traxis
Partners, a multibillion-dollar hedge fund, Biggs has gained a reputation
for his dire predictions, particularly those of his much-quoted 2008
analysis of World War II, *Wealth, War and Wisdom*. At the end of the book,
Biggs offers his conclusions from his brief study of history, suggesting the
likelihood of a future era in which "People with wealth" will face "another
time of cholera when the Four Horsemen will ride again and the barbarians
unexpectedly will be at *their *gate." Biggs offers some interesting advice
for hedging the apocalypse. In addition to prescribing a highly diversified
portfolio heavily invested in equity instruments, Biggs also advises that
his readers buy farms to which they can retreat when the hammer drops.

*------ This Week's Hot News --------*
<http://www.cuttingedge.org/detail.cfm?ID=1133>*DVD*
*I. The threat of Martial Law reared its ugly head again as we learn that
National Guard units are patrolling beaches in Florida!*
*The key to this story is that both BP and the Federal Government are
keeping reporters and citizens from the actual sites of oil spill.*
*A news blackout seems to be the goal, so that citizens cannot verify the
story the government is telling us.*
NEWS BRIEF: "*Military Patrols Beach in Panama City,
Florida<http://www.infowars.com/military-patrols-beach-in-panama-city/>
*", by Kurt Nimmo, Infowars, July 5, 2010
"In the middle of June it was reported that BP hired private security
contractor to keep the media away from sites the transnational corporation
claims it is cleaning. 'BP, in a move destined to go down as one of the
bestest public relations moves ever, has apparently hired a private security
company to help to keep pesky reporters from covering the unfolding
catastrophe on the beaches of the Gulf Coast', Adam Rawnsley writes for
Wired."
The only reason that a concerted effort would be undertaken to keep
reporters from the scene of the supposed disaster is if the conditions on
the site are not as bad as the government and BP are reporting them to be.
"Last week the San Francisco Chronicle and CNN reported on the government's
effort to keep pesky journalists exercising the First Amendment from
reporting on the supposed oil cleanup and the environmental impact of the
worst oil disaster in history."
Coast Guard Admiral Thad Allen moved aggressively.
" 'Under threat of a federal felony, National Incident Commander Thad Allen
has banned all media access to boom operation sites and clean up sites',
writes Yobie Benjamin. 'Allen's orders effectively bans all media — print,
television, radio and Internet bloggers from talking to to any clean-up
worker or to even come close to take pictures or videos of booms, clean-up
workers, oil soaked birds, dead dolphins, dead marine life, burned and dead
endangered sea turtles'."
This title, "National Incident Commander" is a new title created by the
Homeland Security Director. It is designed to confer credibility upon the
man who has become the government's military point man, overseeing the
official response to the entire Gulf Oil fiasco.
Now, this news story switches focus, to the soldiers patrolling civilian
beaches in Florida.
"Now citizens are reporting the presence of soldiers on Florida's beaches.
In the video (included), several soldiers in combat fatigues were
photographed driving vehicles on the beach in Panama City, Florida. On May
4, up to 17,500 U.S. Army National Guard troops were mobilized by the
Pentagon 'to help various states with the oil spill', according to the
Associated Press. 'Defense Secretary Robert Gates has granted requests to
send troops of up to 6,000 by Louisiana, 3,000 by Alabama, 2,500 by Florida
and 6,000 by Mississippi'."
However, the video does not show these soldiers assisting in the cleanup;
rather, we see them seemingly engaged in crowd control. We see this jeep
simply making its presence known to the civilians trying to enjoy the sun
and the waves.
We can only conclude that the real purpose of these soldiers is to condition
Americans to seeing military patrols in civilian areas. America has such a
long history of civilian police keeping the peace that we must be
specifically conditioned to seeing the military undertake peacekeeping roles
within the civilian population.
In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, we saw a lot of military intervention
in civilian areas.
In any one year, we hear reports of military exercises within the civilian
population. In our opinion, the sole reason to send military units amongst
civilians is to condition us to accept the role of the military in certain
situations. Such conditioning will come in very handy when the time comes to
lock America down in a true Martial Law.
But, for now, we see the strange reality of National Guard troops patrolling
a civilian area which is not under any kind of threat and which has no oil
washing up on its beaches. Let us return to our featured article for the
final say.
"No word if they are enforcing Allen's command that the media will be
arrested for a felony if they dare report the disaster to the American
people."
Do not be deceived: the plan calls for implementation of Martial Law
nationwide, as the card from the *Illuminati Card Game
*<http://www.cuttingedge.org/detail.cfm?ID=1133>--
shown above -- clearly indicates.
*II. Shockingly, British Petroleum (BP) produced and distributed an oil rig
board game which foreshadows the current disaster in the Gulf of Mexico!*
NEWS BRIEF: "*BP board game foreshadows Gulf
disaster<http://fieldnotes.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2010/07/06/4621357-bp-board-game-foreshadows-gulf-disaster>",
*MSNBC News, July 6, 2010
"LONDON -- An obscure BP-themed board game in which players aim to avoid rig
disasters has become an unexpected hit at a British toy museum. 'BP Offshore
Oil Strike' was released in the early 1970s and allows up to four players to
explore for oil, build platforms and construct pipelines. The first player
to earn $120,000,000 wins."
"Its 'hazard cards' include 'Blow-out! Rig damaged. Oil slick clean-up
costs. Pay $1million'."
Many people will be surprised that the play of the game so closely parallels
what is occurring in the Gulf of Mexico, but Cutting Edge readers know that
the Illuminati Card Game - which was marketed in early 1995 -- foretold a
great many events which have already occurred or for which the stage is
clearly being set (Read full details in our *'Illuminati Card Game
Section'*<http://www.cuttingedge.org/articles/ICG.html>
)
The museum owner who viewed this board game expressed his shock.
" 'The parallels between the game and the current crisis... are so spooky',
museum owner Alan Goldsmith told Britain's Metro newspaper. 'The picture on
the front of the box is so reminiscent to the disaster with the stormy seas,
the oil rig and an overall sense of doom. I was just knocked over by how
relevant this game is, despite being made some 35 years ago, to BP's
troubles today'."
The reason there is such a close parallel to this board game and to the
current events unfolding in the Gulf of Mexico is simply that this event was
*planned *to contribute to the overthrow of our current civilization so that
the New World Order can be instituted.
Several years ago, we posted an article which dealt with the reality that
the Illuminati does "telegraph its punches", i.e., they foretell what they
are going to do to us well ahead of time. Why would they do this? You will
be surprised to learn the truth.
Please take a moment to read our
*NEWS2104<http://www.cuttingedge.org/news/n2104.cfm>
*, *"NOW WE KNOW WHY THE ILLUMINATI "TELEGRAPHS THEIR PUNCHES": FEMA's THREE
PREDICTIONS, IN MOVIES AND TV SHOWS, DEPICTING THE VERY DISASTER WHICH THEY
PLAN".*
<http://www.cuttingedge.org/detail.cfm?ID=2207>*III. President Obama and
Israeli PM Netanyahu are meeting at the Oval Office on Tuesday with a
Palestinian State on their minds.*
NEWS BRIEF: "*'Direct peace talks' the goal, Netanyahu says of meeting with
Obama* <http://www.cnn.com/2010/POLITICS/07/06/obama.netanyahu.meeting/>",
CNN News, July 6, 2010
"Washington (CNN) -- Middle East peace talks will be the focus when Israeli
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu meets with President Obama on Tuesday ...
Right now, Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas
aren't talking directly. They are communicating only through U.S. Middle
East envoy George Mitchell, who serves as a go-between for negotiations.
Netanyahu told Israeli Cabinet officials Sunday that he was ready to meet
with Abbas at any time.
" 'Whoever desires peace will hold direct peace talks', he said. 'I hope
that this will be one of the results of my trip to Washington'."
For his part, Palestinian President Abbas - who is a Freemason - refuses to
meet directly with any Israeli leaders until Israel stops building
settlements in the West Bank. However, I think this idea that direct
negotiations will produce any kind of an agreement on a Palestinian State is
simply a smoke screen.
You see, Israeli and Palestinian leaders have met many times directly with
no movement toward a Palestinian State. The meeting which stands out so
clearly in my mind occurred in October, 1998, when Israeli PM Netanyahu and
Palestinian President Arafat met under the auspices of President Bill
Clinton. During this meeting, the Israeli PM and the Palestinian President
met directly to hammer out an accord.
After several days of wrangling, the Wye River
Accord<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wye_Accord>was signed by Clinton,
Netanyahu and Arafat. The Israeli Knesset voted
overwhelming to accept the accord -- 75-19 -- on November 17.
How did Palestinian President Arafat greet this accord, in which he had
directly participated? He launched another armed Intifada, which doomed the
Wye River Accord. In the final analysis, the Palestinians want no agreement
with Israel which leaves the Jewish state alive. They want the complete
annihilation of Israel and will not rest until that is done.
For this reason, there will never be an actual Palestinian State; rather,
prophetic Scripture will be fulfilled, which only calls for the empty
pronouncement of such a state. Bible-believing Christians know that prophecy
declares that the Princes of Edom (Palestinians today) will one day declare
a State, but nothing shall come of that declaration. Listen:
*"They shall call its nobles to proclaim the kingdom, but nothing shall be
there, and all its princes shall be no more."* (Isaiah 34:12)
Finally, remember, the Plan calls for a constant threat of war:
"The impetus toward this type of settlement is made possible only because of
a general fear of war. This fear of war must be maintained until the desired
political and religious changes have been instituted." (Bill Lambert, House
of Theosophy Director, New England, seminar for members only, August, 1991 -
*NEWS1052* <http://www.cuttingedge.org/news/n1052.html>)
Now you know that "Rumors of War" is extremely important in driving all
parties to a Middle East agreement. But, in the final analysis, Palestinian
intransigence on the one hand and Israeli stubbornness on the other hand,
will produce a situation where the only action the Illuminati can take is to
pronounce an empty Palestinian State.

Obama accepts Israel's nuclear stance as reflecting its unique security

Reciprocal compliments galore - this time
US President Barack Obama indicated this at the end of his White House
conversation with Israeli prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu Tuesday, July 6,
which both called "excellent." What he said was there had been "no change"
in US policy in the wake of the Non-Proliferation Treaty conference in May,
which called on Israel to join the treaty. The US president stressed that
given its size, history and the levels of threat Israel faces: "We will not
ask Israel to take steps that endanger its security."
debkafile's Washington sources: This was taken to mean that the US policy of
ambiguity regarding Israel's reported nuclear arsenal was unchanged and
Israel would not be pressed to joint the NPT.
Netanyahu praised the latest round of UN sanctions against Iran and the new
US measures. He urged other countries to follow the US president's lead and
initiate much tougher sanctions. Only then will it be possible to tell if
they are biting enough to prevent Iran attaining a nuclear weapon, said the
Israeli prime minister.
The US president did not reply directly when asked if he had asked Israel to
extend the 10-month settlement-Jerusalem construction freeze when it expires
on September 26. He said he hoped the right climate would enable
face-to-face talks to go forward by September and stressed he believes
Israel and its prime minister are serious about peace and will take risks to
achieve it.
He added that the Israeli people deserved a secure peace - not Iran's
proxies next door or rockets falling on them and repeated his call for
Palestinian sovereignty and two states living side by side in peace.
Confidence-building steps on both sides were important, said Obama. He had
discussed Mahmoud Abbas the need to stop "engaging in provocative language,
incitement and looking for opportunities to embarrass Israel."
While the US president denied any rift with Israel, Netanyahu praised the
cooperation with the US in fields which they both listed as the economy,
international relations, military, maintaining Israel's military edge and
intelligence-sharing -in ways not always made public Netanyahu added that
the special US-Israel bond - which both termed "unbreakable" - was
beneficial to the region.
Obama added that the continuing cooperation had broadened since he and
Netanyahu came to office and he hoped relations would continue to improve.
The Israeli prime minister and his wife are spending three days in the
United States. He is due to meet with Secretary of state Hillary Clinton,
Jewish American leaders in New York. Sarah Netanyahu will also meet with the
First Lady, Michelle Obama.

Texas tar balls found as oil hits all Gulf states
Jul 6, 6:19 AM (ET)
By JUAN A. LOZANO
TEXAS CITY, Texas (AP) - More than two months after oil gushing from a
blown-out well on the ocean floor first reached Louisiana, the relentless
spread of crude has now washed up on every Gulf state after a bucket's worth
of tar balls hit a Texas beach.
The crude is still moving, but the fleet of skimmers tapped to clean the
worst-hit areas of the Gulf of Mexico is not. A string of small storms has
made the water too choppy for the boats to operate for more than a week off
Florida, Alabama and Mississippi.
The number of tar balls discovered in Texas is tiny compared to what has
coated beaches so far in other Gulf states. Still, it provoked the quick
dispatch of cleaning crews and a vow that BP will pay for the trouble.
"Any Texas shores impacted by the Deepwater spill will be cleaned up quickly
and BP will be picking up the tab," Texas Land Commissioner Jerry Patterson
said in a news release.
The oil's arrival in Texas was predicted Friday by an analysis from the
National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, which gave a 40 percent
chance of crude reaching the area.
"It was just a matter of time that some of the oil would find its way to
Texas," said Hans Graber, a marine physicist at the University of Miami and
co-director of the Center for Southeastern Tropical Advanced Remote Sensing.
About five gallons of tar balls were found Saturday on the Bolivar
Peninsula, northeast of Galveston, said Capt. Marcus Woodring, the Coast
Guard commander for the Houston/Galveston sector. Two gallons were found
Sunday on the peninsula and Galveston Island, though tests have not yet
confirmed the oil's origin.
Woodring said the consistency of the tar balls indicates they could have
been spread to Texas water by ships that have worked out in the spill. But
there's no way to confirm how they got there.
Galveston Mayor Joe Jaworski said he believed the tar balls were a fluke,
rather than a sign of what's to come.
"This is good news," he said. "The water looks good. We're cautiously
optimistic this is an anomaly."
Hurricane Alex, which blew through the Gulf last week and made landfall
along the border between Texas and Mexico, may have played a small role in
bringing the oil ashore in Texas by increasing the westerly current near
land, Graber said. But it was more likely due to normal coastal currents and
local weather patterns.
NOAA scientists are looking at local weather, Hurricane Alex and Gulf
vessels as possible sources for the tar balls, agency spokeswoman Monica
Allen said Monday.
The distance between the western reach of the tar balls in Texas and the
most eastern reports of oil in Florida is about 550 miles. Oil was first
spotted on land near the mouth of the Mississippi River on April 29.
The spill is reaching deeper into Louisiana. Strings of oil were seen Monday
in the Rigolets, one of two waterways that connect the Gulf with Lake
Pontchartrain, the large lake north of New Orleans.
"So far it's scattered stuff showing up, mostly tar balls," said Louisiana
Office of Fisheries Assistant Secretary Randy Pausina. "It will pull out
with the tide, and then show back up."
New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu said assets would be deployed to protect
the Lake Pontchartrain basin.
Pausina said he expected the oil to clear the passes and move directly into
the lake, taking a backdoor route to New Orleans.
The news of the spill's reach comes at a time that most of the offshore
skimming operations in the Gulf have been halted by choppy seas and high
winds. A tropical system that had been lingering off Louisiana flared up
Monday afternoon, bringing heavy rain and winds.
Last week, the faraway Hurricane Alex idled the skimming fleet off Alabama,
Florida and Mississippi with choppy seas and stiff winds. Now they're idled
by the smaller storms that could last well into this week.
Officials have plans for the worst-case scenario: a hurricane barreling up
the Gulf toward the spill site. But the less-dramatic weather conditions
have been met with a more makeshift response.
Skimming across the Gulf has scooped up about 23.5 million gallons of
oil-fouled water so far, but officials say it's impossible to know how much
crude could have been sucked up in good weather because of the fluctuating
number of boats and other variables.
Jerry Biggs, a commercial fisherman in Pass Christian, Miss., who has had to
shut down because of the spill, is now hiring out his 13 boats and 40-man
crew to BP for cleanup. He said skimming is severely hampered by the
weather.
"This isn't going away. This isn't a sneeze or a hiccup. This is diarrhea
for a long time," he said. "My lifestyle is screwed. It's over. The thing
that I love the most I'm not going to be able to do anymore."
The British company has now seen its costs from the spill reach $3.12
billion, a figure that doesn't include a $20 billion fund for damages the
company created last month.
The storms have not affected drilling work on a relief well BP says is the
best chance for finally plugging the leak. The company expects drilling to
be finished by mid-August.

Associated Press writers Tom Breen and Mary Foster in New Orleans and
Brendan Farrington in Pass Christian, Miss., contributed to this report.

Military Patrols Beach in Panama City
Kurt Nimmo
Infowars.com
July 5, 2010
In the middle of June it was reported that BP hired private security
contractor to keep the media away from sites the transnational corporation
claims it is cleaning. "BP, in a move destined to go down as one of the
bestest public relations moves ever, has apparently hired a private security

Wired.
obamathad.jpg
It is no mistake National Incident Commander Thad Allen often wears a
military uniform — even though he is retired from the Coast Guard — when he
talks with the media.
Last week the San Francisco Chronicle and CNN reported on the government's
effort to keep pesky journalists exercising the First Amendment from
reporting on the supposed oil cleanup and the environmental impact of the
worst oil disaster in history.
"Under threat of a federal felony, National Incident Commander Thad Allen
has banned all media access to boom operation sites and clean up sites,"
writes Yobie Benjamin. "Allen's orders effectively bans all media — print,
television, radio and Internet bloggers from talking to to any clean-up
worker or to even come close to take pictures or videos of booms, clean-up
workers, oil soaked birds, dead dolphins, dead marine life, burned and dead
endangered sea turtles."
In addition to acting as National Incident Commander Thad Allen is a retired
United States Coast Guard four-star admiral. The Coast Guard is a branch of
the United States armed forces and one of seven uniformed services. It
operates under the Department of Homeland Security during peacetime. Allen
was appointed deputy to FEMA director Michael D. Brown by Homeland Security
Secretary Michael Chertoff during Hurricane Katrina.
The presence of the military in the wake of Hurricane Katrina was designed
to violate the Posse Comitatus Act and condition the public to accept
military integration within Homeland Security and the domestic response to
natural disasters (and supposed acts of terrorism).
Allen's appointment as National Incident Commander by Department of Homeland
Security Secretary Janet Napolitano gives the federal response to the oil
disaster a quasi-military cover. Allen's decree banning the media has the
appearance of a militarily-imposed command. It is no mistake Allen often
wears a military uniform — even though he is retired from the Coast Guard —
when he talks with the media.
Now citizens are reporting the presence of soldiers on Florida's beaches. In
the video below, several soldiers in combat fatigues were photographed
driving vehicles on the beach in Panama City, Florida.
On May 4, up to 17,500 U.S. Army National Guard troops were mobilized by the
Pentagon "to help various states with the oil spill," according to the
Associated Press. "Defense Secretary Robert Gates has granted requests to
send troops of up to 6,000 by Louisiana, 3,000 by Alabama, 2,500 by Florida
and 6,000 by Mississippi."
The military pictured in the video do not appear to be engaged in clean-up
activities. It appears their presence on a crowded beach during a holiday
weekend has but one purpose — to acclimate citizens to the prospect of
troops patrolling public spaces.
Florida has yet to experience oil washing up on beaches to the extent
occurring in Louisiana and other Gulf of Mexico states.
No word if they are enforcing Allen's command that the media will be
arrested for a felony if they dare report the disaster to the American
people.

THE CURSE OF RESTORING ERROR
"Cursed be the man before the Lord, that riseth up and buildeth this city
Jericho" (Joshua 6:26).
Since he was cursed who rebuilt Jericho, much more the man who labours to
restore Popery among us. In our fathers' days the gigantic walls of Popery
fell by the power of their faith, the perseverance of their efforts, and the
blast of their gospel trumpets; and now there are some who would rebuild
that accursed system upon its old foundation. O Lord, be pleased to thwart
their unrighteous endeavours, and pull down every stone which they build. It
should be a serious business with us to be thoroughly purged of every error
which may have a tendency to foster the spirit of Popery, and when we have
made a clean sweep at home we should seek in every way to oppose its all too
rapid spread abroad in the church and in the world. This last can be done in
secret by fervent prayer, and in public by decided testimony. We must warn
with judicious boldness those who are inclined towards the errors of Rome;
we must instruct the young in gospel truth, and tell them of the black
doings of Popery in the olden times. We must aid in spreading the light more
thoroughly through the land, for priests, like owls, hate daylight. Are we
doing all we can for Jesus and the gospel? If not, our negligence plays into
the hands of the priestcraft. What are we doing to spread the Bible, which
is the Pope's bane and poison? Are we casting abroad good, sound gospel
writings? Luther once said, "The devil hates goose quills" and, doubtless,
he has good reason, for ready writers, by the Holy Spirit's blessing, have
done his kingdom much damage. If the thousands who will read this short word
this night will do all they can to hinder the rebuilding of this accursed
Jericho, the Lord's glory shall speed among the sons of men. Reader, what
can you do? What will you do?
