ABORTION DILLEMA: WHICH WAY KENYANS?
THE DOCTOR'S TAKE

On 1st April, the Kenyan parliament
approved a new draft constitution which, among other things, promises
more power to the people and greater respect for the rights of women
and children. It also contains some clauses which directly threaten
the life of the unborn, and this has already become a major issue in
the run-up to a national referendum, planned for July 2 nd. During our
live 'Doctors on Call' show last Sunday, the panel touched on the
issue but did not come to a conclusion. Dr. Gikonyo, a renowned
cardiologist, said that abortion should have been left out of the
constitution and an independent committee given the mandate to
properly look into the subject. ................ ..Continue reading

DRAFT CONSTITUTION-MORE HEAT, NO LIGHT
SPEAK OUT NOW OR FOREVER KEEP YOUR PEACE !

Almost all media houses, Family Media
included, are having debates every now and then on the draft
constitution. This is not because they do not have something else to
air but it's for the sake of helping Kenyans understand the document
well and be able to make the right decision on 2nd July, the
referendum day. Besides Cross Talk – the current affairs show that
comes every Wednesday from 8pm – Family Media has gone a mile further
and come up with a blog dubbed 'Constitutional Crossroads' to give
Kenyans a chance to freely air their take and feelings on the
document. So far, we have had two heated discussions: the church
leaders' stand and legalization of abortion. Join in the discussion
now at Radio316 ... ..........Continue reading

FAMILY MEDIA'S DAY WITH DAYSTAR FAMILY
ALL WITH ONE MESSAGE – THE SPIRIT TO SERVE

Thursday last week, 8 th April was a
significant day for both Family Media and Daystar University. Family
Media team, led by the CEO – Leo Slingerland, arrived at Daystar's
Athi River campus in time for the University's Chapel service. The
team was on a mission to deliver a simple but critical message: "The
spirit of service to the society" – serving like Christ would have
done if He were here on earth. This was a timely message especially
coming when the Easter mood was still alive. John 13:5 says that Jesus
poured water in a basin to wash His disciples' feet as a sign of
servant leadership. This was the theme of both speakers – Leo and
Pastor Buri – during the chapel service.

"I sought the Lord, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears."
Psalm 34:4

David's prayers helped to silence his fears; many besides him have
looked to the Lord by faith and prayer, and it has wonderfully revived
and comforted them. When we look to the world, we are perplexed, and
at a loss. But when we look to Christ and seek His help, He's always
there ready to come to our aid. Seek Him today.
