Chasing Faith!

By Neo Pachisia

neopachisia@gmail.com

Hi Everyone,

So as I've said before, the last couple of days before the new moon,
called the dark of the moon, seem to condense the message of the
entire lunar month that is ending--which in this case, for me was
messy, confusing and a bit frenzied. And this afternoon I experienced
what felt like satori!

Although this is somewhat personal and I've been struggling with
whether to tell the story or not, I think it's necessary. So bear with
me.

At the last New Moon on March 15, I wrote, "When living to it's
highest potential Pisces is the sign of compassion, divinity,
spirituality, faith, imagination, intuition, music and arts. On the
other, lowest end it can represent addictions, victim-hood,
manipulation, savior complex, confusion, powerlessness."

So while I was writing that article in Goa, I suddenly met a friend
there after almost 20 years of No contact who seems to sum up a great
deal of the Piscean qualities I'd mentioned! He is a kind and
compassionate man, with very poor boundaries. So much so that he has
almost little ability to say No. And the way he has dealt with this
inability to face life, yes that's what it is really, is by smoking on
an average of three joints a day, for the past 25 years! Talk about
addictions and escapism.

His savior complex has led him to rescuing people, mostly women,
endlessly and in turn becoming victimized to an extent that he now
seems to be in a desperate situation in many ways, especially
financially. It's been a most disturbing, almost chilling realization
for me.

All those years ago when we broke up, I was in anguish for at least a
year and then it took another four years to cut cords and get over him!

At that time I remember feeling absolutely abandoned by God, my
father!? and everyone else. This afternoon while wondering what was
the message for me in this meeting in Goa, I understood that it was to
show me that I had been RESCUED by God!

If at that moment I had had faith in Him and trusted that no matter
how painful it felt, my Higher Self/God knew what was right for me,
that he was Looking out for me, I wouldn't have spent 4-5 years
feeling such heartache.

In fact it wasn't He who abandoned me, it was I who abandoned Him! And
this has been a hard learned lesson for me--to keep the Faith despite
whatever is happening. Quite honestly, it's still a work in progress
and just yesterday I was accusing Him of being heartless and cruel and
questioning His qualifications as Lord of the Universe. Today while
contrite and shame-faced I acknowledged my folly and could see/hear
Him chuckling.

Pisces as the last sign in the zodiac, symbolizes Surrender--damn
difficult to be consistent about this. Reason being the conflict
between Fate and Free Will. In India we are quick to entrust at least
90 percent of all events in our lives to fate/karma and wash our hands
off any personal responsibility--when in my opinion it's the other way
around.

I don't have any answers to this but my personal belief, until I know
better, is that it's not Fate or Free Will but Fate AND Free Will.
Events happen in our lives over which we have no control (death for
one) and that is Fate--but how we deal with it is Free Will.

And speaking of will brings us to a most willful sign, Aries. It's the
first sign in the zodiac and a Fire element. So it has all the energy
and instinctive spontaneity of a new born. The New Moon is at 24
degrees so will have a more powerful impact on those who have planets
around that degree but also for all Aries (and Taurus) people in
general.

Aries is ruled by the deity Mars, the god of wars, survival, potency,
sexuality. It's a masculine, outgoing energy and at its best it can
help you take action, assert yourself, be enterprising. When out of
control, it can be aggressive, volatile, rough, bullying.

Mars is a warrior archetype, not known for its diplomacy or finesse.
Think of Aamir Khan (my absolute favourite actor) in Ghajini. He
starts off as a solar hero, refined and polished and after the loss of
his love, turns into a Martian archetype--angry, extremely ripped, out
of control, operating purely from Instinct.

The way to use this Aries energy is think of something you want but
have been putting off. It could be something related to work, career,
relationships, creativity, sports, get into an exercise regime.
Remember Mars is about initiating, it won't give you the discipline to
continue with something--for that you will need Saturn--but it will
give you a kick start.

So for instance, you've been thinking of joining the gym, now is the
time to do it. You want a new relationship--make an intent to find the
man/woman who adores you just as you will adore them.

Intention, is the key but alone it can't do anything without the right
action--and Mars helps you with the action part of it.

This could also be a good time to make a bigger plan, for the Year, as
this is the start of the zodiacal year (the year actually started when
the Sun went into Aries on March 21st but it's the first New Moon in
Aries).

So what do you want happening in this year--make a list of 3 goals. Be
specific. Give it a timeline.

Then think of what actions you have to take to make your goals happen.

Write it all down.

So your intent could be something like this:

to lose 12 kgs in a year;
to take a martial art class;
to learn a new skill that could help your career
Then whittle it down to weeks and days.

Take an action--the smallest one--go for a walk around the block.

Identify the skill you want to learn and google for who offers it in
your neighbourhood.

Intention + Action = Manifestation.

However, there is a little glitch. Mercury goes retrograde on April
18th, for about three weeks.

Mercury is the Greek Hermes, the god of communication and so during
these weeks, all communication or related issues, seem to get delayed,
obstructed. So the five R's for this period is: Revise, Revisit, Redo,
Review, Reflect.

So in effect you have a brief window, from the 14th to the 17th in
which to initiate something and then you have to be patient. Do the
five Rs and perhaps Hermes will show you another way of fulfilling
your goal.

There are a few other astrological events that will muddy the waters
this fortnight. On April 19th, the Sun goes into Taurus and Chiron
goes into Pisces.

Taurus is a pleasure-loving, slow and deliberate sign and so for the
Ariens and other on-the-go signs it's going to feel like wading
through sludge. See Chiron as Steven Segal--a Zen warrior--going into
a sign that we've talked about in some detail.

What it all means is after a quick, smart start things are going to
slow down. So don't feel it's not working etc. It means just go
through the options and deliberate on what you need to do.

And I will see you again on/about April 28th when the Full Moon falls
in very interesting Scorpio.

(How to do the Intent in Brief:

Write down the intent clearly, be specific. Write it out twice. Once
in a journal or paper that you keep in your altar or purse or
something. The other, burn it while read the intent out aloud 3 times
and then wash it down the sink. (read the first article in this series
for more detail).

After writing down the intent, meditate or do some deep breathing for
10-15 minutes--then do the burning).

I am in New York and available on skype for sessions.

Good luck

love,

Neo
