Putthandu Vazhthukal, Happy Vishu, Happy Naba Barsha!
Happy Hindu New Year (Vikruthi) today, WED 14th April.

The month of Chitthirai is arriving and with it the Tamil New Year
'Vikrudhi' on Wednesday, April 14th - an occasion for celebration with
Greetings of "Putthandu Vazhthukal" (Tamil) & 'Vishu Punyakalam'
(Kerala).

Since based on Hindu Solar (Sun) calendar, it is also the New Year for
people of Assam, Bengal, Kerala, Nepal, Manipur, Orissa and the
Punjab. Since our Hindu solar calendar influenced the calendars of
Burma , Cambodia , Laos , Sri Lanka and Thailand , their traditional
new year also falls around April 14th. So, a very Happy New Year to
all of you!
