Israel and Greece have invoked the mutual defense pact they signed secretly
only 12 days ago in the light of heavy Turkish sea and air movements in the
eastern Mediterranean. debkafile's sources report that this was decided in a
long nocturnal phone conversation Wednesday night Sept. 14 between the
Israeli and Greek prime ministers, Binyamin Netanyahu and George Papandreou,
and at Israel's expanded cabinet of eight, which was called into session
over the Turkish threat to its off-shore oil and gas rigs.
The Greek Prime Minister added to the information recorded so far on Turkish
fleet movements in the Aegean and Mediterranean Seas. He was particularly
concerned by the observation flights suddenly increased in the past 48 hours
over the Greek island of Kastelorizo in the southeast Mediterranean just two
kilometers from the Turkish coast. Those flights are escorted by Turkish
combat jets.
Athens fears a Turkish attack on the island, whose population is fewer than
1,000, and an attempt to damage or seize it. Israel suspects that a Turkish
attack on the Greek island will be the signal for Turkish military
aggression against its oil and gas platforms located in the Mediterranean
between Israel and Cyprus. Papandreou said the Turks are capable of surprise
attacks on additional Greek islands near the Turkish coast.
Ankara would be acting on the pretext that Israel and Cyprus have no right
to mark out and exploit the gas and oil zones of the eastern Mediterranean –
a fuel-rich region known as Block 12 – without the consent of Turkish Cyprus
(the Turkish Republic of North Cyprus – TRNC). Turkey also backs Lebanon's
complaint that Israel is robbing it of its natural resources. Talks between
Lebanon and Cyprus to resolve this issue broke down. Beirut refuses any
discussion with Israel.
Neither Jerusalem nor Athens has disclosed in what way they have invoked the
new defense pact.
debkafile's military sources surmise that in the first stage, Israeli navy
and air forces are to be posted at Greek Mediterranean bases. The two
intelligence agencies are already sharing input.
Up until now, Israel could only respond to a Turkish threat from its own
borders. With a presence at Greek military bases, Israel will be able to
operate from the rear of Turkish forces in the event of an attack by those
forces in the Mediterranean.
Monday, Sept. 12, Ankara dictated conditions for Israel to obey

Turkish aggression:
1. Israel vessels are prohibited from taking action against Turkish ships
heading for the Gaza Strip. Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan has declared "null
and void" the UN report confirming the legality of Israel's blockade of
Gaza.
2. Israeli warships crossing the 12-mile line bounding its territorial
waters will be challenged by Turkish warships, which are instructed to
approach them to within 100 meters and "disable their weapons."
This threat covers not only shipping bound for Gaza but also Israel's oil
and gas drilling platforms which are more than 60 miles out to sea.
Israel's political and military spokesmen have been trying hard to downplay
the Turkish menace. On Wednesday, Sept. 14, they brushed aside reports of
Turkish naval and air movements in the eastern Mediterranean. After the
cabinet of eight's meeting, the official line was that Israel is practicing
"restraint in contrast to Turkish wildness" and they should be given time to
cool down. In any case, the US and NATO were closely monitoring the crisis
Ankara is generating with Israel, Greece and Cyprus, and won't let it
degenerate into Turkish military action.
But both Israel and Greece appear to know better: They decided to invoke
their mutual defense pact – not before obtaining a green light from
Washington – because they believe the Turkish threats indicated by its
military movements are real and tangible.

national Boy Scouts and its Cascade Pacific Council of negligence, fraud and
sexual battery of a child in connection with the repeated molestation of the

are the latest in a barrage of such claims facing the Boy Scouts,
headquartered in Texas, since the group was found liable and ordered to pay
nearly $20 million last year for a pedophile case from the 1980s. A separate

tell you, is that scientists can't invent them fast enough to keep up with
nature's ability to develop resistance to them. It's evolution, baby, and
Mother Nature is showing humanity who really runs this town. So when
Monsanto — the chemical giant best-known for developing genetically-modified
foods in an attempt to outsmart farmers' perennial rivals, weeds and pests —
decided to go forth with its products, it surely had to have occurred to
them that perhaps nature would fight back. That's bad news for farmers, who
plunked down a premium for products that could rapidly become ineffective.

Governments Underreported Severity of Fukushima
As I've noted for 6 months, the Japanese and U.S. governments have
continually under-reported the severity of the nuclear crisis at Fukushima.
The Wall Street Journal points out:
The Japanese government initially underestimated radiation releases from
the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant, in part because of untimely rain, and
so exposed people unnecessarily, a report released this week by a government
research institute says.
PhysOrg writes:
The amount of radiation released during the Fukushima nuclear disaster
was so great that the level of atmospheric radioactive aerosols in
Washington state was 10,000 to 100,000 times greater than normal levels in
the week following the March 11 earthquake and tsunami that triggered the
disaster.

[A] study [by University of Texas engineering professor Steven Biegalski
and researchers at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory] reports that
more radioxenon was released from the Fukushima facilities than in the 1979
meltdown at the Three Mile Island Nuclear Generating Station in Pennsylvania
and in the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear disaster in the Ukraine.
Biegalski said the reason for the large release in Fukushima, when
compared to the others, is that there were three nuclear reactors at the
Japan facilities rather than just one.
Nuclear expert Arnie Gundersen notes:
New TEPCO data measured on August 19 & 20 shows severe damage to the
spent fuel in Fukushima Daiichi Units 1, 2, and 3…. This TEPCO data clearly
contradicts and refutes the July assertion by the NRC the Fukushima Daiichi
spent fuel pools were not damaged in this tragic accident.
There are also several unconfirmed reports that the Japanese government is
trying to keep people from buying geiger counters to measure radiation.
New, Large Radiation Releases Are Possible
Mainichi Dailly News notes:
As a radiation meteorology and nuclear safety expert at Kyoto
University's Research Reactor Institute, Hiroaki Koide [says]:
The nuclear disaster is ongoing.

At present, I believe that there is a possibility that massive amounts
of radioactive materials will be released into the environment again.
At the No. 1 reactor, there's a chance that melted fuel has burned
through the bottom of the pressure vessel, the containment vessel and the
floor of the reactor building, and has sunk into the ground. From there,
radioactive materials may be seeping into the ocean and groundwater.

The government and plant operator TEPCO are trumpeting the operation of
the circulation cooling system, as if it marks a successful resolution to
the disaster. However, radiation continues to leak from the reactors. The
longer the circulation cooling system keeps running, the more radioactive
waste it will accumulate. It isn't really leading us in the direction we
need to go.
It's doubtful that there's even a need to keep pouring water into the
No.1 reactor, where nuclear fuel is suspected to have burned through the
pressure vessel. Meanwhile, it is necessary to keep cooling the No. 2 and 3
reactors, which are believed to still contain some fuel, but the cooling
system itself is unstable. If the fuel were to become overheated again and
melt, coming into contact with water and trigger a steam explosion, more
radioactive materials will be released.

We are now head to head with a situation that mankind has never faced
before.

The Ground Self-Defense Force (GSDF) and residents of the zone between
20 and 30 kilometers from the stricken Fukushima No. 1 nuclear plant held an
emergency evacuation drill on Sept. 12 … in preparation for any further
large-scale emission of radioactive materials from the plant.

What kind of Palestinian action is King Abdullah afraid? This next news
story tells us what his concerns are.

"Abdullah reiterated that his country would not serve as an 'alternative
homeland to the Palestinians'. According to the Jordanian leader, 'Jordan is
Jordan and Palestine is Palestine. We support all Palestinian rights and the
establishment of an independent Palestinian state – our policy hasn't
changed. The subject of an alternative homeland must not be part of the
discussion. It is unacceptable'."
History's ugly head is rising in the Middle East concerning the historical
homeland of the Palestinians. The true Palestinian homeland are the
Jordanian provinces of Edom and Moab, not the West Bank of Israel. If the
Palestinians really want to reclaim their homeland, they will set their
sights on Jordan. In fact, they already have done so.
Do you remember the Palestinian terrorist leader, Yassir Arafat? He decided
to overthrow the Hashemite Kingdom called Jordan and ordered his Palestinian
Liberation Force to defeat the Jordanian Army. The key battle is now called
"Black September" in 1970. King Hussein's more modern army soundly defeated
Arafat's forces and kicked him out of the country. Arafat fled to the West
Bank where he began a struggle with Israel over the establishment of a
Palestinian State.
Meanwhile, King Hussein of Jordan reasserted control over the Palestinians,
even though they were the majority. The Hashemite Kingdom thus set up
rulership over the Palestinian minority. Ever since then, Israeli right-wing
has repeatedly urged the Israeli government and the United Nations to
recognize the reality of history and grant the Palestinians their own
natural homeland in the provinces of Edom and Moab in Jordan.
Of course, that line of reasoning has gone nowhere, as one can only expect.
After the war of 1948 ended with Israel the victor, trapping about 400,000
Palestinians in the West Bank area, Arab leadership throughout the Middle
East refused to allow these Palestinians to emigrate back to Jordan; they
felt that the continued presence of this bitter enemy of Israel would serve
as the proverbial "thorn under the saddle" against Israel. One day, the
continued opposition of this bitter enemy of the Jew would result in the
demise of the new nation, Israel.
The modern Jordanian government has always looked with horror on the idea
that their control over Jordan might some day end because the majority
population -- the Palestinians -- had taken control. If the Palestinian
leadership has set their eyes upon both the West Bank and Jordan as the land
which their Palestinian State would occupy, then they have taken on
formidable enemies. Israel and Jordan would both be fighting against the
Palestinian Authority.
Now can you see how Isaiah 34:12 can literally be fulfilled?
"They shall call its nobles to proclaim the kingdom, but nothing shall be
there, and all its princes shall be no more." (Isaiah 34:12; Parallel Bible,
KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary)
After the United Nations General Assembly declares a Palestinian State, the
combined opposition of Israel, Jordan and possibly the United States will
result in this declaration being a totally empty proclamation! At this
point, the first part of the prophecy will have been fulfilled, setting up
the annihilation of the Palestinian people and her leaders as foretold
in Obadiah

When we watch the UN proclaiming a Palestinian State, we shall be watching
the beginning of the death rattle of the entire people today known as the
Palestinian.

offer up Palestinian statehood to a vote in the United Nations General
Assembly later this month. "
This ambassador then elaborated.
" 'After the experience of the last 44 years, of military occupation and all
the conflict and friction, I think it will be in the best interest that the
two peoples should be separated', Areikat added. "
I concur. The Palestinians have proven since 1948 to be unworthy neighbors.
They have infiltrated suicide bombers on to civilian buses, into civilian
restaurants and have invaded Jewish homes to kill entire families, including
newly born babies in a crib! When Israel responded by building a physical
fence to keep the suicide bombers from reaching the Jewish population, the
Palestinians responded with rocket attacks!
At the same time, Palestinians school text books have constantly taught
their youngsters to completely hate their Jewish neighbors and to want them
dead.
Palestinian politicians have likewise kept up a barrage of anti-Israeli
propaganda, threatening the Jewish state with annihilation.
Therefore, I agree that the Palestinian and Jewish populations should be
physically separated: the Jews get their God-given homeland while the
Palestinians get to move back to Jordan!

An American official -- and a member of the Council of Foreign Relations --
reacted to this comment harshly.
"Former U.S. National Security Council official Elliot Abrams responded to
the Palestinian official's comment, saying to USA Today that the Palestinian
demand was 'a despicable form of anti-Semitism', adding: 'No civilized
country would act this way'."
At least, Abrams acknowledges that the Palestinians are not "civilized".
Events since modern Israel was reborn in one day on May 14, 1948, have
proven that the Palestinians are not a civilized people, and are hated
throughout the region, even by other Arabs. In fact, the Pentagon reported
this fact in a report to Congress in December, 1996. We researched this

Therefore, the Palestinian people are feared and hated by other Arabs. the
last thing they want is for the Palestinians to get their own "operating

And, when this new Palestinian state is destroyed, along with her leaders,
from whom will the attack come? Will it be from Israel or the other Arab
states as they act to prevent these "clever, hostile people" from
threatening them from their new nation?

I was aghast at the apparent blindness of Jewish voters to Barack Hussein
Obama. After working for a Liberal Jewish businessman for over 15 years in
the toy business, I could not believe that Liberal Jewish voters would turn
a blind eye toward the one candidate whose name, whose life and whose
political affiliations would make him the prime candidate to finally break
America away from Israel - a move which might set Israel up for military
defeat at the hands of hateful Arabs' thank God He is the ultimate protector
of Israel!
I knew that the Jewish man for whom I worked would never, ever support Obama
in 2008, specifically because of these reasons. But, true to form, Jewish
voters cast their ballot for the Democrat candidate, even if his name was
"Hussein" and even if his pastor was stubbornly anti-semitic.
However, Jewish voters in 2012 might be shifting in their thinking.
"1.) Prior to yesterday's win in the Brooklyn-Queens district where Anthony
Weiner had been the Democratic Representative to Congress, a Democratic
polling firm (Public Policy Polling) found that 54% of all voters in the
Weiner district—and 68% of Jewish voters—disapproved of Mr. Obama's position
on Israel. Additionally, 37% of all voters—and 58% of Jewish voters—said Mr.
Obama's Israel position was "very important" in deciding their vote."
"2. In the midst of the upcoming U.N. vote on Palestinian statehood, the
Obama Administration has only recently publicly said they plan to veto it in
the Security Council. Why the long wait in making a public statement and
elongating the mystery? Meanwhile, he has sent Secretary of State Hillary
Clinton off in a last minute attempt to beg and cajole the PA not to go
through with it. By not understanding that the PA is now one-half Hamas, due
to their alliance, he's dealing with a terrorist organization and one that
does not and will not recognize Israel."

Millions call themselves by His name, it is true, and pay some token respect
to Him, but a simple test will show how little He is really honored among

Couples who live together before marriage much more likely to divorce, says
Christian think-tank [Excerpts]
Couples who live together before they marry are 'significantly' more likely
to end up divorced, says a report by a Christian think-tank.
The study also discovered that more couples are cohabiting than ever before
- with the average time living together before tying the knot doubling to
three-and-a-half years in the past four decades.
The Jubilee Centre, a social reform group with a Christian perspective, said
that living together had become 'a more fragile state of relationship than
ever before'.
It said that couples who cohabited before marriage were 45 per cent more
likely to split than those who waited until after the wedding.
The report by Dr John Hayward and Dr Guy Brandon said: 'Despite the
popularity of cohabitation and its relationship to marriage, it is also the
case that marriages that start with a period of prior cohabitation are
significantly more prone to divorce than those that do not.
'Where there has been a previous cohabitation with a separate person by one
of both partners, the likelihood of divorce soars.'
