of their movement's most prominent figureheads. "When the right wing was
using same-sex couples as election year pawns and the president calling for
a cynical constitutional amendment to deny people rights, we would have
welcomed support from the first lady. Nevertheless, her speaking out for
marriage equality shows that more and more Americans realize all families
need the same rights and protections," said Michael Cole, spokesman for the
Human Rights Campaign, a gay rights group. Conservatives said Laura Bush had
hinted at her positions in the past and that her opinions neither influenced
policy nor reflected the sentiments of the American people.

Big Brother wants to watch you more closely. Especially how you spend your
money. His latest snooping plan comes from provisions in the banking bill
being debated in the Senate. The bill is being pushed by Sen. Chris Dodd,
D-Conn., chairman of the Senate Banking Committee. Among other things, the
bill is supposed to alert regulators to hazards in the industry to prevent
another financial meltdown like the one that started in September 2008, and
to make it easier to spot rip-off artists like Bernard Madoff. The bill sets
up two new supersnooping federal agencies to collect data on ordinary
Americans: • The Office of Financial Research. This supposedly would predict
risk in the system by collecting massive amounts of new financial data, such
as patterns of credit card use. • The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
It would collect data, especially on consumer transactions. The data are
supposed to be "scrubbed" of individual identifiers, so your privacy would
be protected. But that might not work, Mark Calabria told us; the director
of financial regulation studies at the Cato Institute formerly was a member
of the senior professional staff of the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking,
Housing and Urban Affairs.

He went to London Tuesday to check out their surveillance camera system, one

means adding to the ring of steel in Times Square, similar to central
London's. The mayor said more NYPD surveillance cameras may prevent another
terror scare. London has 500,000 surveillance cameras, more than any other
city in the world. Bloomberg visited London's mayor to see how these help
Britain fight terror. "We live in a world of suicide bombers. We live in a
world of international terrorism," Bloomberg said. And a world where both
cities have been targets. Bloomberg came to take a closer look at the
sprawling security network throughout London -- known as the "Ring of
Steel." The mayor's hoping to beef up New York's own surveillance system in
the wake of the failed car bomb attack in Times Square.

appearing here at the Four Seasons resort in Dublin on May 6, appeared
gloomy. In other years, they had shown a more festive mood as they prepared
for the arrival of 300 high officials of Europe and North America and
international financiers to plan the global economy behind closed doors. An
economic meeting in Brussels is just concluding, making it a convenient
cover story for U.S. officials who want to attend the TC meeting without
public knowledge. Such summits, either just before or after TC and
Bilderberg group meetings, are routine. Bilderberg will meet June 4-7 at the
Dolce Hotel in Sitges, Spain, about 20 miles from Barcelona.
Senior TC staffers, who carry the papers, not the suitcases, were overheard
saying the British Petroleum (BP) oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico off the
Louisiana coast would have to be a "major and ticklish topic" during the
session. That's because Big Oil is a major player at the TC and Bilderberg
meetings. BP will have to pay for the spill with big bucks at a time when
the TC is planning giant hikes in U.S. gasoline costs.

THE SITUATION IS GRAVE - ARE YOU?

"When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I
thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things." –
1st Corinthians 13:11

There's an interesting word used in the New Testament several times by the
Apostle Paul on the proper conduct for Christians that starkly contrasts
what is prevalent in the Church today. From what I can ascertain, it's found
only in versions of the Bible published on or before 1901. And, judging from
the rapidly changing and declining 21st Century Church here in America, I
dare say its teaching and practice would probably be offensive to many if
not most contemporary churchgoers – especially those still desperately
trying to be more "relevant" to the culture than to the Christ they claim.

The word is "grave."

Now, the first thing that comes to mind with this word is, of course, a
burial plot. But, that's obviously not what the three verses containing this
word in Titus and in 1st Timothy are referring to, though I am not so sure
one's mortality isn't applicable here considering the seriousness of sin and
its "wages" with respect to the sinner.

Nevertheless, consider these three verses where the word "grave" appears:

"But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine: That the aged
men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience." –
Titus 2:1-2

"Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to
much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre; Holding the mystery of the faith in a
pure conscience." – 1st Timothy 3:8-9

"Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in
all things." – 1st Timothy 3:11

It stands out, doesn't it?

If you check some of the synonyms for the word "grave" you'll find words
like, "serious," "severe," "weighty," "momentous," "crucial," "vital,"
"important," "somber" and "solemn."

A couple of the more modern translations of the Bible use the word "serious"
instead of "grave," but I'm not convinced "serious" is strong enough to
accurately convey the message Paul intended. After all, if someone's medical
condition is said to be "serious," that's much better than if it were
"critical" – and "critical" is considerably healthier than "grave." You see,
when someone's condition is reported to be "grave," that suggests they are
at death's door – that the next report you receive on them will probably be
an obituary.

So, when the Apostle goes so far as to tell Christians they should be
"grave," there must be a reason. When I think of Jesus, His Apostles and the
early Church as they are portrayed in scripture, "grave" certainly comes to
mind because times were hard for them and their situation was desperate.
Jesus' followers were oppressed. They were persecuted. They were beaten,
tortured and killed for their faith and yet they continued to preach Christ
crucified because there were many who had yet to hear the good news.

The situation was grave back then and so were they.

But, frankly, I don't see "grave" in the Church today. In fact, I see more
revelry than repentance; and since today's best-selling Christian authors
and experts aren't very "grave" in their presentations and publications, it
only stands to reason that "grave" would be absent in the pulpit and
classroom as well, seeing as that's where most of our theology comes from
these days.

I would reiterate that none of the modern Bible versions I checked used the
word "grave" in the above mentioned verses or, as far as I can tell, any
suitable synonym as a replacement. It's as if this particular command was
edited out of scripture.

Matthew Henry's Commentary on The Bible had this to say about the word
"grave" in reference to the verse from Titus 2:

"Grave: levity is unbecoming in any, but especially in the aged; they
should be composed and stayed, grave in habit, speech and behavior;
gaudiness in dress, levity and vanity in the behavior, how unbeseeming in
their years!"

And for deacons in the Church, Henry wrote this about the verses I cited
from 1st Timothy:

"They must be grave. Gravity becomes all Christians, but especially
those who are in the office in the church."

And about the wives of deacons, he had this to say in later verses:

"Their wives likewise must have a good character; they must be of a
grave behavior… All who are related to ministers must double their care to
walk as becomes the gospel of Christ, lest, if they in any thing walk
disorderly the ministry be blamed."

A burial site is, without a doubt, a very serious, if not somber place.
Let's face it, there's not much to laugh about in a cemetery. And, if you
think about someone taking up their cross to faithfully follow the Lord
through a world full of lost souls, what better word could be used to
describe their mission of mercy than "grave?"

If we visited a terminally ill friend or acquaintance in the hospital with
only a few days to live who had never heard the gospel, should we enter
their room laughing and telling jokes to try a cheer them up before their
final departure into eternity or should we acknowledge and share the
seriousness of their situation with the appropriate attitude and witness?
After all, is their condition not grave?

Now consider a world full of terminally ill sinners who don't know the
gravity of their spiritual condition. Shall we act silly, entertain them,
tell jokes, sing songs, play games and boost their self-esteem with hugs,
flattery and charming chitchat before they die or do we honestly and
courageously give them the grave news regarding their spiritual condition
and eternal destiny that they might gratefully and joyously receive the good
news of Jesus Christ and be saved? How can we expect anyone to appreciate
the good news without hearing the bad news first? And is it not the bad news
of Hell that makes Heaven such good news?

Could it be the number of baptisms and church memberships are down because
the lost and dying don't really know they're lost and dying – because
there's nothing "grave" in today's Christian witness?

Have we, the Church, turned the Great Commission and even Christianity
itself into an amusement – a recreational lifestyle of carefree indulgence
and entertainment instead of a rescue mission of grave importance?

I'll never forget the little church my wife and I visited several years ago
that held a foreign missions fund raising contest where they challenged
church members to raise $3000 for the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. If
they were successful, the pastor and deacons agreed to sing a song in front
of the church on Sunday morning wearing big and brightly colored ladies
hats. Long story short, they did and it got a lot of laughs even though they
were reminded beforehand by yours truly what the Bible had to say about men
wearing women's clothing:

"The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither
shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination
unto the LORD thy God." – Deuteronomy 22:5

Just how does this work out one's own salvation "with fear and trembling?"
(Philippians 2:12) Is it not the gravity of our sinful condition before the
Throne of Grace that causes that fear and trembling? And do we not ignore
the Bible's call to be "grave" in our conduct and character when we resort
to such foolishness in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ? If Christians
don't take Him or His Word seriously in worship, how can we expect the lost
to take us seriously out in the world?

But when crisis comes, everything changes, doesn't it?

Nothing affects our conduct quite like calamity. When tragedy strikes, it's
amazing how quickly and dramatically our demeanor is altered.

Could it be the Lord allows crises to come along, both individually and
collectively, to sober us up and force us to face the fragility of our flesh
and fallen world?

disposition we were called to and forego the foolishness and frivolity that
has kept us from our spiritual rescue mission – recognizing with grave

washed up to wildlife refuges and seafood grounds on the Louisiana coast on
Friday, as authorities struggled to avert what could become one of the worst
U.S. ecological disasters."

And millions wonder why…the heathen rage and the people suppose delusive
thoughts. The executive sets himself against the Lord's immutable elements
and the rulers counsel one another that their works are greater than the
laws of God that bind them. They vow to overcome and with abandon cast aside
the transcendence of His dominance and power, thinking they alone are the
arbiters of their fate and rulers of their destiny. The Lord in heaven
beholds their efforts in derision, addresses them with wrath, and visits
them with the auguries of His great displeasure.

In the space of half a dozen months the United States has experienced an
endless and seemingly seamless string of calamities that many would call
natural disasters, but there is nothing natural about them. They are rather
visitations of divine corrections upon a recalcitrant and stiff-necked
people. In quick succession the nation has been confronted with consuming
conflagrations, monumental blizzards and ice storms, disastrous floods,
earthquakes and tremors, mine disasters, and now a prodigious and
unrelenting flow of crude oil from the subterranean depths that threatens to
destroy the economic structure of the entire contiguous southern tier of
states that abut the Gulf of Mexico. Some call these events happenstance;
others characterize them as environmental aberrations and the natural
occurrences emanating from the fallible acts of men. Only the insurance
industry correctly qualifies them as "Acts of God" as indeed they are.

Even in the face of such divine condemnation the people do not flee from
their egregious lawlessness and sin, they shun correction and sink even
deeper into gross and disgusting degeneracy, and they seemingly take pride
in the nastiness of their perversions. Indeed so proud are they that their
putrescence is packaged and exported via films, music, and the written word
to the entirety of the world. We are most certainly a shame deficient
people.

I am continually astounded at the ignorance and superficiality of the
national media. This nation faces phenomenally calamitous events of Biblical
proportions almost daily, and such are treated with benign indifference or
outright neglect. Reporters are not reporters they are in fact biased
proponents of socialist ideology and politically correct causes. They will
closet consequential issues and spend hours on such twaddle as illicit
celebrity affairs, who cares social events, reality show outcomes, poorly
documented and unsubstantiated medical and pharmaceutical propaganda, the
opines of the secular psychological causes of inimical human behavior by
Opra Winfrey and Dr. Phil, and which fat singer won the prize on American

To ingratiate themselves with the pharmaceutical industry and processed food
magnates they spend endless hours beyond the advertising breaks to parrot
the specious information fed to them to promote false causes labeled as in
the public interest, this to gain a share of the billions that these venal
conglomerates bilk from a deluded, unhealthy, and complacent people.

Not quite all of the American media is in the tank, but the sad fact is that
the majority of the so-called fourth estate is in hock up to its eyeballs to
condemnable corporate elites and bound by an allegiance to the unprincipled
socialists who have seized control of the government. Rather than serve the
public good these disinformation agents suborn government treachery and
shill for unscrupulous conglomerates. All for an ideological cause and a
buck.

FALSE OPTIMISM

Just now the media geeks are on a tear to convince the great unwashed that
the country is on the road to a recovery from the great Bush/Obama recession
and that things are going to be just hunky dory if we will only persist with
the policies of the Federal Reserve and the government's bureaucratic idiots
that got us into this mess in the first place. This nation is poised for
economic disaster and no amount of tinkering by a socialist government, the
corrupt Federal Reserve, or the fat cat Wall Street Bankers is going to stay
indefinitely the monumental crash that is on the horizon.

It was the policies of these deceivers - working upon the grasping avarice
and greed of the people - that put the nation into its present predicament.
In order to keep the ship afloat these agents of deception have built an
enormous pyramid of debt, which stands presently at twelve point three
trillion dollars, as they say in commoners jargon, "Now that ain't hay." No,
it isn't it means that every man woman and child in this nation is obligated
for forty thousand dollars of debt, and the amount of this public debt
increases by three point five billion dollars daily.

Many of us go on our way believing that bad things only happen to other
people, and that the god of fate has predestined our continued well being.
We have only to observe the plight of the flood victims in Tennessee who's
homes in flood free zones have been submerged in water to the roof line to
understand the fallacy of such thinking. We would do well to condition
ourselves to the fact that no one is immune to the divine chastisement that
is being poured out upon this nation.

Please know dear reader that every devastating calamity that we experience
creates a demand, or market, for the materials and products to fix the
damage so that a semblance of normality can be restored. Immediately the
speculators who always have money at hand jump in and bet on the demand for
such materials. Such speculation guarantees the bettors huge profits; these
will always live off the misery of others. Understand now that I am not
writing about ordinary people here, I am addressing the financial elites
that own the world. It is the destiny of Joe Public to live off of the
crumbs that fall through their fingers.

AND SO IT GOES

Just now this country is desperate for oil, ours is a completely mechanized
society - the automobile is idolized - and as such is so enslaved to oil
that the nation is willing to go to dire levels to secure the oil that is
being denied by the Muslim nations of the Middle East who hate the guts of
the United States.

The frenetic scramble for the oil to keep mom and pop and their mollycoddled
kids - with the phones hanging out of their ears - on the road has driven
the country to do-or-die measures such as submerging drills four thousand
feet down through the murky depths of the Gulf of Mexico to drill through
thirty-five thousand feet of rock to access what appears to be large pools
of crude. This is carrying the exploration for oil to the edge, and it has
also carried us into an environmental debacle that is killing marine life,
turning ecology on its head, and more than likely destroying a sizeable
segment of the economies of the Gulf Coast States.

We, in this nation, are faced with the potential for an absolute destruction
that would make sweat run off a rock, but tell that to the people who
populate the night clubs, fill the theatres, flock to the eating
establishments, take in the stage shows, fill the cruise ships and stadiums,
and run after entertainment and the good times with borrowed money. They
believe that there will be no end to their fantasy world.

UNREPENTENT

One of the ironies of the scourge of crude oil that oozes its gooey black
fingers of disaster across the waters and onto the shores of the Gulf States
is that it is poised to wreak havoc upon the State of Louisiana, and more
particularly upon the city of New Orleans, a city that slightly less than
five years ago was ravaged by the effects of Hurricane Katrina. One might
have thought that the fact that the city narrowly escaped complete
obliteration at that time would have led to contrite and repentant hearts in
the site of the Almighty. Not so, within months they were living it up on
government issued credit cards funded by the taxpayers of the rest of the
country, mounting parades to celebrate sodomy, and mired in the debauchery
of a reconstituted Mardi Gras.

Think not that I am singling out New Orleans, this city is not one bit more
or one bit less perverted in spirit than any of the other cities and towns
in the United States. And I am not intimating that every last person in
these municipalities are heathen and deserving of the dire judgments that
are befalling their places of residence. Just as it rains upon the just and
the unjust the good will suffer with the bad when these calamities arise.

TEMPEROL PREACHERS AND NOMINAL CHRISTIANS

He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you
hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but
their heart is far from me. Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for
doctrines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandment of God,
ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many
other such like things ye do. -Mark 7: 6-8

This government – all of it from the executive on down - is on a mission to
obliterate the name of the Son of God the Lord Jesus Christ from American
culture. With an activist judiciary as their enforcer government bureaucrats
regularly attempt to efface the name of Christ from every institutional
entity both public and private. The movement is so pronounced that there
have been serious attempts to prohibit the meeting of families in private
homes for Christian worship.

This tells me that the transformation of the United States from a
Constitutional Republic to godless totalitarian communism is nearly
complete. No secular ideology other than Marxist communism mandates the
absolute elimination of Christian belief and Christian worship. The
communist dogma is of Satan and not Karl Marx; Marx was simply demonically
led to fulfill the dictates of his father the devil who hates the Son of
God.

At the risk of offending the true believers who sit among the nominal
Christians in the denominational churches I submit that a predominant number
of these churches today abet the heathen in the suppression of the teachings
of Christ. When the preachers of these congregations avoid the hard lessons
of scripture and displace, avoid, or eliminate the Gospel and replace it
with humanism and the secular doctrines of social justice they fall to the
desires of the powers and principalities in high places. The message of
Jesus was not that our commission was to eliminate poverty or to equalize
all of humanity to a single level of being. Jesus said that the poor would
always be with us, and only the most foolish would deny that men are
possessed of varying levels of intelligence and competency, which assures
that men will occupy differing levels on the socioeconomic plane.

Jesus sent those who believed on Him into the world with a single message
and a single purpose, and that was to convey the gospel to the world that
many might transition from the short brutal existence in this dark terminal
world to eternal life in His glorious Kingdom of light. Though men are not
equal in this fallen world, all who believe upon the Son of God and confess
and repent of their sins will have an honored status in His Kingdom.

ALL CIVILIZATIONS END AND THE BIGGEST FALL HARDEST

This country has lost the pride of its power and no longer has the will to
either safeguard its God-given liberties or to defend against the inimical
policies of belligerent nations. The United States hasn't won a war since
the Second World War, and all of its post World War II conflicts have been
against military pipsqueaks.

If we would have had during the last world conflict the military leaders of
today and a perverse military filled with female combatants and sodomite
troops we would have lost that war and been carried off as captive slaves of
either a fascist Germany or an imperial Japan.

Commanding officers of the likes of Patton, McArthur, and those of their
caliber and beliefs are cashiered by today's political system. Even those
mentioned felt the sting of a rapidly emerging Marxist system in their day,
but they were not cast off until they had played a large part in delivering
the country from devastation by occultist forces. After their service they
were then chastened and discarded by the communist commiserates whose sorry
butts they had saved.

This is now a nation of divided interests. It consists of a collection of
conflicting cultures and hoards of wandering nomads with no allegiance or
commonality of purpose. This has been deliberately engineered by a
collection of half-baked socialists, greedy and venal politicians looking to
maintain political power by the votes of dependent itinerants, and by the
cold and calculating satanic agents who would sacrifice the lives of
millions to achieve a world-wide demonic domain.

REHABILITATING A NEGATIVE ATHEIST

Professor Antony Flew, the rationalist philosopher who died on April 8 aged
87, spent much of his life denying the existence of God until, in 2004, he
dramatically changed his mind.

Flew always described himself as a "negative atheist", asserting that
"theological propositions can neither be verified nor falsified by
experience", a position he expounded in his classic paper Theology and
Falsification (1950), reputedly the most frequently-quoted philosophical
publication of the second half of the 20th century.

He argued that any philosophical debate about the Almighty must begin by
presuming atheism, placing the burden of proof on those who believe that God
exists. "We reject all transcendent supernatural systems, not because we've
examined or could have examined each in turn, but because it does not seem
to us that there is any good evidence in reason to postulate anything behind
or beyond this natural universe," he proclaimed. A key principle of his
philosophy was the Socratean concept of "follow the evidence, wherever it

When Flew revealed that he had come to the conclusion that there might be a
God after all, it came as a shock to his fellow atheists, who had long
regarded him as one of their foremost champions. Worse, he seemed to have

mover - that had apparently clinched the matter.

After months of soul-searching, Flew concluded that research into DNA had

explain the beginnings of life. "I have been persuaded that it is simply out
of the question that the first living matter evolved out of dead matter and
then developed into an extraordinarily complicated creature," he said.
Flew went on to make a video of his conversion entitled Has Science
Discovered God? and seemed to want to atone for past errors: "As people have
certainly been influenced by me, I want to try and correct the enormous
damage I may have done," he said.

Silence From U.S. and Its Allies Allowed Iran to Get Seat on U.N. Women's
Rights Body [Excerpts]

The United States and 12 other Western democracies kept silent this week as
Iran was nominated for membership of the United Nations' Commission on the
Status of Women (CSW), thus enabling Iran to get the seat.

In the four-year period beginning in 2011, Iran will help set U.N. policy on
gender equality and the advancement of women.

Iran's unchallenged election, at a meeting in New York Wednesday, came just
over a week after Iranian media quoted a senior Islamic cleric in Tehran as
saying that immodest dress and behavior by women was to blame for an
increase in earthquakes.

More than 200 Iranian women's rights activists sent an open letter to the
U.N. earlier this week, warning that Iranian membership would be "a serious
threat" to the CSW's "goals and mission," and that the government would use
it "to curtail progress and the advancement of women."

Among 11 CSW seats up for grabs Wednesday, two were set aside for states in
Asia, and the Asia regional group put forward just two candidates to fill
them - Iran and Thailand.

Had one of the Western countries in the chamber - or any other ECOSOC member
- protested, a secret ballot vote would have been called for, putting to the
test Iran's ability to win the required majority of at least 28 votes.

But the U.S., Canada, Australia and 10 European countries raised no
objection, and the meeting elected Iran "by acclamation."
