Starcana October 2011 Tarotscopes, Horoscopes with a twist of
Astrology and Tarot
Life isn't always pretty… that's the reality. I don't throw cards back
for do-overs. I always keep what is provided, with the mentality of
staying aware and doing the work. Otherwise, it would be like avoiding
the truth, with the assumption that we get to pick and choose what we
want from life. This is why I share the positive as well as the shadow
(challenging) interpretations with you. I believe that knowledge is
power. Your personal message received is not a Magic 8-ball answer, it
is simply a tool to gain more insight for inner growth. Every
difficult task in our life introduces a life lesson, a healing, and an
opportunity. Good times will eventually change and go sour just as
difficult times will change, and produce brilliant rainbows. How will
you play your cards this month?
Starcana Tarotscopes provide a solar chart horoscope with a twist of
astrology and tarot interpretations. For deeper insight to understand
the interpretation, try my three card spread using your astrological
information:
Choose your first card by using your Rising sign to explain what you know
Choose your second card by using your Moon sign to reveal what challenges you
Choose your third card by using your Sun sign to show what you are manifesting.

Cosmic Dirt Horoscope: September 29, 2011

We're still very much in a self-protective mode with Moon in
crustacean Scorpio. Owning our inner power is rewarding in both love
and work, but we need to be careful not to waste this precious energy
on the frivolous. Friendly vibrations flow easily as Mercury sextiles
Mars, enhancing positivity in friendships and travel. We should find
ourselves more outgoing and adding oomph to our words with first steps
of good intentions. We're strong and in control of direction as Moon
sextiles Pluto this morning, but demands put pressure on us as Luna
squares impatient Mars, and opposes inefficient Jupiter. Think quality
versus quantity. Later, we'll be investing time and energy into some
genuine pleasure which will just for us. We know what's important, and
we're committing to it as Venus conjuncts Saturn this evening. Our
just reward.
"œTrue strength lies in submission which permits one to dedicate his
life, through devotion, to something beyond himself." Henry Miller.

KING OF WANDS
Attribution - Scorpio-Sagittarius Cusp (20 degrees Scorpio to 20
degrees Sagittarius)
(Sometimes) Astrological Sign – Aries.
The suit of Wands represents the element of fire. It is the intuitive
function, the libido, the primitive life force. Some associations are
– career, creativity, energy, desire, action, intuition, sex,
movement, victory, enthusiasm, confidence, competition, magic and
excellence.
Kings stand for actual people in your life or different aspects of
your personality. Kings are father figures and symbolize mature men,
leadership and authority. Kings stand for force of will, initiative,
publicity, honours, rewards, public recognition.
The King of Wands used to be called the Country Gentleman because he
loves the outdoors and all types of sports. He is also enthusiastic
about change and development. The King of Wands loves to see things
grow too and he adores both animals and children.
Court cards can represent your personality, someone close to you and
situations you find yourself in. Usually they describe all three at
once.
Rider-Waite Imagery
The King of Wands sits on his Gold throne that is decorated with lions
and salamanders. The lions are his astrological attribution of Fixed
Fire Leo. He is the king of the salamanders. The salamander is the
animal associated with the element of fire. The king is shown in
profile. He is holding a wand in his right hand as his scepter. He has
a fiery crown on his head and a lion necklace. His gown is orange with
yellow fiery cuffs. the cowl is green, his cloak is yellow with black
salamanders, his slippers are green. There is a green salamander on
the ground on the right side of the card. The sky is blue and there is
a brown mountain in the background on the left.

The Pictorial Key to the Tarot by Arthur Edward Waite (1911)
The physical and emotional nature to which this card is attributed is
dark, ardent, lithe, animated, impassioned, noble. The King uplifts a
flowering wand, and wears, like his three correspondences in the
remaining suits, what is called a cap of maintenance beneath his
crown. He connects with the symbol of the lion, which is emblazoned on
the back of his throne.
Divinatory Meanings
Upright: Dark man, friendly, countryman, generally married, honest and
conscientious. The card always signifies honesty, and may mean news
concerning an unexpected heritage to fall in before very long.
