Life is a series of events, good and bad. Learn from the bad.
Give thanks for the good. And share the emotions with those who love
and support you through life's ups and downs.

You are more than your defeats, and you are more than your
achievements. It pays to keep that in mind when pursuing victory and
when dealing with defeat.
It is great to win, to achieve, and to excel. And of course, it
hurts to lose.
Yet when you abandon your most treasured values in order to win,
the prize will be empty. When you discard your very integrity in order
to achieve, the achievement will have no real value.
For the value of achievement is not in the achievement itself.
The real value of achievement is the way in which it expresses who you
are.
Focus on winning, to be sure. Yet be careful not to defeat
yourself just so you can claim victory.
Each achievement you pursue is an opportunity to bring out the
best that is within you. Do that, and whether you win or lose the
battle of the moment, you'll have something of real and lasting value.

LIVE WHILE YOU'RE ALIVE
We all need to read this one over and over until
it becomes part of who we are!
HOW TO STAY YOUNG
1. Try everything twice. On Madam's tombstone
(of Waylon and Madam) she said she wanted
this epitaph: "Tried everything twice...loved
it both times!"
2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches
pull you down. (Keep this in mind if
you are one of those grouches.)
3. Keep learning: Learn more about the computer,
crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain
get idle. "An idle mind is the devil's workshop."
And the devil's name is Alzheimer's!
4. Enjoy the simple things.
5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until
you gasp for breath... And if you have a
friend who makes you laugh, spend lots
and lots of time with HIM/HER.
6. The tears happen: Endure, grieve, and move on.
The only person who is with us our entire life, is ourselves.
LIVE while you are alive.
7. Surround yourself with what you love:
Whether it's family, pets, keepsakes,
music, plants, hobbies, whatever.
Remember: Your home is your refuge.
8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it.
If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what
you can improve, get help. You are worth it!
9. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the
next county, to a foreign country,
but NOT to where the guilt is.
10. Tell the people you love that you love them,
at every opportunity.
11. Forgive now those who made you cry.
You might not get a second time.

The world you imagine is the world you experience. The life you
imagine is the life you live.
To bring anything into your life, imagine it is already there.
The more completely you imagine it, the more fully it becomes real for
you.
All that you are, you once imagined yourself to be. What do you
choose to imagine now?
Imagination does its work not by tapping into some supernatural,
secret power. Imagination creates your world by simply and naturally
directing the enormous creative energy that is your life.
Imagination enables you to fully and authentically experience
what is already there. Through the power of your imagination, you
choose your own specific reality from a limitless set of
possibilities.
Be aware and in touch with what you choose to imagine. For with
your imagination, you are choosing the direction of your life.
