Prophets To The Gentiles

Many people may not realize that there are at least three prophets in the
Old Testament that were called specifically to prophesy regarding the
Gentiles. Obviously, most of the Bible deals with history - both past and
future - through the "lens" of Israel. But there are three short books that
focus on Gentile history and each has specific application to you and me
today.
Two of them were from Galilee! (The wag in John 7:52 hadn't done his
homework...)
"They answered and said unto him, Art thou also of Galilee? Search, and
look: for out of Galilee ariseth no prophet." -John 7:52
Both Jonah and Nahum came from the Galilee area: in fact, Capernaum (Caper
Nahum) means the "Village of Nahum."
The Biggest Miracle:
Perhaps one of the biggest miracles in the Old Testament is in the Book of
Jonah - and it wasn't the big fish story! God called Jonah to minister to
Nineveh, which had served as the capital of the world for several centuries.
It was the enemy of Israel, and Jonah was not attracted to the assignment
until God explained it to him a bit more clearly!
When Jonah finally did go there, he didn't present a polished, "seeker
friendly" sermon! God had declared that the city was 40 days from being
destroyed. Jonah went through town proclaiming, "Forty days and you get
yours!" He was hoping they would get wiped out. In fact, his biggest fear
was that God might have mercy (he went up on a hill and pouted when God did
spare them).
It is interesting that Jonah didn't preach repentance. He simply announced
their impending doom. It is astonishing to realize that within those 40
days, the king speculated that, just maybe, if they repented God might
change His mind. They did, and God did. From the king on down, they put on
sackcloth (the traditional ritual for repentance). They even put sackcloth
on the cattle!
The repentance of Nineveh is astonishing when you think about it. Forty days
from "ground zero." And they were given another century.
When Nations Die:
Nations and empires actually do have "life cycles." This has been studied by
many historians throughout the years and they all have come to about the
same conclusion: a lifetime of about two centuries. Nations all seem to go
through the same life cycle: "from bondage to spiritual faith; from
spiritual faith to great courage; from courage to liberty; from liberty to
abundance; from abundance to complacency; from complacency to apathy; from
apathy to dependency; from dependence back again into bondage." - Alexander
Tyler, 1750
Where are we in this cycle? We, too, have gone from bondage to spiritual
faith; from faith to great courage which established our precious liberty,
which, in turn, has given us unprecedented abundance that has made us the
envy of the world. That abundance, however, has led to complacency and
apathy. If you ask the average person, "What is the biggest problem in
America? Is it ignorance or is it apathy?" They will probably respond, "I
don't know; and I don't care!"
This apathy will ultimately lead to dependency and then return us to the
very bondage that this nation was founded to deliver us from. Robert Bork
was right when he said:
"The only hope for America is a grass roots revival."
Slouching Toward Gomorrah:
Is America ripe for judgment? Billy Graham quipped many years ago, "If God
doesn't judge America He will have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah!"
Thomas Jefferson summed it up well in 1781 when he said, "I tremble for my
country when I reflect that God is just; and that His justice cannot sleep
forever."
The story of Nineveh in The Book of Jonah is the only case I am aware of in
which this typical cycle was broken! They were given an additional century,
until another prophet from Galilee had to announce their fall! The Book of
Nahum was, literally, Ninevah's final chapter.
Israel's Enemies:
The enemies of Israel are in the front pages of every newspaper and
newscast. It may surprise you to learn that they are also summarized - and
prophesied over - in the shortest book of the Bible: The Book of Obadiah.
Although specifically directed against Edom, the scope of this little book
may surprise you. In fact, our review of this book covers far more than
simply some ancient tribal animosities:
•What is the prophetic role of Ammon, Moab, and Edom (now known as Jordan)?
•Why do they escape the rule of the Antichrist?!
•What is the purpose of the Great Tribulation?
•Where does Jesus return? On the Mount of Olives? Or in Bozrah?

The Gathering Storm

Acceleration Radio was on for two hours last night. My guest was author Jim
Wilhelmsen. It was a lively two-hour sojourn about the UFO phenomena, and
the reemergence of the Fallen Angels and Nephilim. However, at the top of
the show I did about 25 minutes of rant. I was really heated up and with
that thought in mind, I'm going to let some of it spill over here.
There is a gathering storm. It is global in nature and it is coming to where
you live. No one will escape it. This storm has been building for centuries.
It has been crafted by dark forces, by the Mystery of Iniquity, by secret
lawlessness that has been working behind the scenes. The storm is looming on
the horizon and from my perspective it would appear that it will break soon,
for it is supernatural in nature. When it does, life as we know it will
change forever. Here are a few of the reasons why…
The war in the Middle East is coming and when it does it will be
self-evident as to what prophecy is being fulfilled. We will see nukes go
off, financial markets crash, cities go up in flames. Millions will be
affected. Gas prices will skyrocket. What if the Katla volcano blows? What
then? A nuclear winter?
The oil spill continues, basically unabated, as it has from day one.
Millions of barrels of oil have polluted the gulf and it's starting to move.
Computer models put it on the shores of Europe and then, because of the Gulf
stream it will return here. This will cover about a third of the worlds
oceans. I am reminded of the Book of Revelation, a third of the water became
like blood…
Yesterday in Los Angeles a 5.4 earthquake rattled Southern California. This
was predicted in one of the Torah Codes tables. There are supposed to be
more of them on the way. We now have earthquakes that are over 6 points on a
weekly basis. Is this normal?
There are large sinkholes that are appearing all over the globe, why now?
Lady Ga Ga is the most popular person on earth and is engaging in deliberate
Babylonian, ritual, sex magic. Over 30 million people have downloaded her
video, Alejandro. This pornographic priestess is at the height of her
prowess and her slime is pumped into homes all across our nation. Have your
children watched her?
Our southern border is still a war zone and while our president dawdles and
threatens to sue Arizona, for wanting to control their border, people are
being tortured and killed, drugs are pouring into this country, and illegals
who have limited or no skills continue to affect our already fragile
economy.
The threat of violent Jihad continues and people are murdered somewhere, in
the name of the religion of peace, on a daily basis.
The United Nations is corrupt, enervated and powerless to stop the genocide
that continues in Darfur.
The Afghan war drags on with hundreds dead in its wake. Russia has
complained about the growing heroin trade and subsequent addicts that now
plague parts of that country.
UFO's, crop circles, cattle and human mutilations, implants, abductions and
the ongoing breeding program that will produce modern Nephilim are
manifesting. The Fallen One will show these hybrids when the time is right.
Demonically enhanced Nephilim will appear from three mile-wide ships that
have come, "to save the day."
I realize that reading all of this would put me in the doom and gloom
category, however I would be remiss if I didn't sound the clarion cry that
we are moving, rapidly, into the time of Jacob's trouble, the last days, the
end times. In closing today's post let me say that this storm is gathering
momentum. It's not subsiding. It's not going away. The nations stand
perplexed. Now is the time to understand and know that the prophecies that
were written thousands of years ago are coming to pass in our time. Wake up!
Know the Most High God and his son, Yashua, who is our blessed hope.
Although there is a gathering storm, to those of us who look for His coming
we can see past the darkness and know to look up, because our freedom,
redemption is on the way….

"Ontario police set to charge Muslim extremist," by Stewart Bell in the
National Post, July 8 (thanks to all who sent this in):
Over the past three years, Salman Hossain has openly called for
terrorist attacks in Canada, cheered the killing of Canadian troops in
Afghanistan and urged fellow Muslims to "exterminate" Canada's Jewish
population.
When police started showing up at his suburban home in Mississauga,
Ont., in 2007, he was not chastened. He wrote that he "honestly got a kick
out of pissing off the RCMP.... HAHAHA.... You can't charge me for
possessing a thought."
Canadian authorities have apparently heard enough of Mr. Hossain's
thoughts. Ontario Provincial Police have scheduled a news conference for
Thursday afternoon to announce the results of a lengthy investigation into
the young extremist.
He is expected to face charges of promoting hatred and, quite possibly,
advocating a genocide. If so, it would mark the first time an advocating
genocide charge has been prosecuted in Canada. The charges relate to
hundreds of racist comments Mr. Hossain has posted on the Internet....
The announcement comes nine months after Ontario Attorney-General Chris
Bentley told the Jewish community the Crown had decided not to proceed with
charges against Mr. Hossain because he was in a rehabilitation program to
correct his behaviour.
Far from being rehabilitated, however, Mr. Hossain has only become more
outspoken since then. He now openly urges Muslims to organize an invasion of
Canada to overthrow the "Jewish run Canadian government" and begin the "mass
extermination" of Canada's Jews.
While Mr. Hossain will face criminal charges, arresting him will be more
complicated. He left the country before the OPP investigation was completed
and is now in South Asia, where he continues to advocate racist violence on
his U.S.-based website.
"Yes, I am a fanatic," he wrote in one of his recent posts from abroad.
"I am ready to kill millions." Last week, he wrote, "We must never cease in
our efforts to eliminate the Jewish people from the face of the earth. Their
permanent liquidation and destruction is the only solution."...
Mr. Hossain did not respond to an email asking whether he would return
voluntarily to Canada to face charges, but his "official spokesman" told a
Post reporter on May 21: "You need to stop your harassment of Mr. Hossin,
because he's not the only one calling for your execution you rat faced
scumbag.... Every last Jew on planet earth needs [sic] executed IMMEDIATELY
..."
Born in Bangladesh, Mr. Hossain immigrated to Canada with his father and
mother, who once told a reporter her son was "stupid, an idiot and
immature." Online, he has described himself as "a regular Muslim supporting
the jihad overseas" and a friend of the Toronto 18 terrorists who have
pleaded guilty to plotting attacks in southern Ontario....
Shortly after Mr. Bentley's announcement, Mr. Hossain resurfaced on
Filthy Jewish Terrorists, a conspiracy theory website, with headlines such
as "The Jews and the West must be nuked" and "The destruction of the West is
the only way to exterminate the Jews."
On the website, Mr. Hossain uses terminology reminiscent of the far
right and neo-Nazis, writing that "a genocide should be perpetrated against
the Jewish populations of North America and Europe." Another post on the
site reads, "we need to start carrying out genocide against the Jewish
people ... Their permanent extermination is the only solution."
York University suspended Mr. Hossain after the National Post reported
he was under investigation. "I do not believe in 'Canadian' values whatever
they mean," he responded on his website. "I forfeit my Canadian citizenship
and will not literally participate in their fabricated judicial system."...

To get to the movie section at Lifeway Christian Store in Bridgeton,
customers pass by shelves of books, CDs and greeting cards. The rack of
Christian DVDs isn't huge, but it's twice as big as it was a year ago and
"growing all the time," said manager Francine Evans.
Some of the Christian titles these days, she said, tackle "touchy subjects"
such as drugs or domestic violence. Two on the shelf at Lifeway, "Sarah's
Choice" and "Bella," are about abortion.
"These are movies that deal with issues that real people deal with," Evans
said. "Sometimes that's what's necessary to reach people for God. But the
seals are needed. They're a good idea."
The seals Evans anticipates are part of a new system to gauge the Christian
values in films that contain sex, violence and drugs - a system developed by
the Dove Foundation, a nonprofit based in Grand Rapids, Mich.
The organization is introducing a purple "Faith-Based" seal that warns of
raw images or language in otherwise Christian-themed movies and a gold
"Faith-Friendly" seal, indicating a Christian-themed movie that's safe for a
family audience.
While the foundation's purple "Faith-Based" seal will register as a caution
for parents, those in the film industry say they're not worried it will have
a chilling effect on Christian writers and directors concerned about DVD
sales.
