IS THE CONSTITUTION TREATENED?
CAN'T KENYANS DECIDE ON THEIR OWN?
For more than twenty years now, Kenyans have craved
for and even shed blood in their search for a new constitution. As
such, failure by leaders to give Kenyans an acceptable constitution
will be the greatest betrayal against the people of this land. Our
nation is at a make-or-break point. The decisions we make regarding
the draft constitution will have an impact for centuries to come.
Focus should therefore not be on the transient concerns, but on
posterity. The draft has some contentious issues despite which
Parliament passed the document without taking into account the
consequences. There are conflicting views on the draft that are coming
from church leaders on the one hand and politicians on the other,
leaving Kenyans confused, especially because most have not seen it
leave alone read it. Continue reading
THE BEAUTIFUL HOUSE ON A HILL
THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT OUR MARRIAGE IS
Unhappy marriages seem to be the rule, not the
exception these days. The keys to obtaining a successful marriage may
be just as baffling to you as understanding a foreign language . Leo
Slingerland –our CEO at Family Media has been married to his adorable
wife Anneke for the last 45 years and still counting. They are blessed
with three children of their own; Stephan, Wendel and Pascal. They
have also adopted three others: Yup, Amber and Annabelle. When he told
me about it, shock was all over my face and the only question that ran
through my mind was "how do you stay in marriage that long in this
time and age?" He shares his secret on his blissful marriage. Continue

WE GOT OUR UNSUNG HEROS
CONGRATULATIONS TO THEM - THANKS FOR ALL YOUR VOTES
The whole of last week Family Media, through Radio
316, carried out an Easter competition dubbed 'Easter Unsung Heroes'
which was meant to appreciate people who live their lives helping
others but are hardly noticed. The winners were announced on Jam 316
on Easter Monday. The grand prizes included two holiday tickets to the
best hotels at the Kenyan coast. The first prize, two nights at the
luxurious Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort and Spa, went to Morris
Wagacha who was nominated by Elizabeth Wanjiru. Morris could hardly
believe it when he got the call from Mike to announce to him the good
news. The second prize, three nights at the plush Diani Reef Beach
Resort and Spa, was won by Carol Gachohi who was nominated by Grace
Wachuge. Continue reading
PARTING SHOT
The real differences around the world today
are not between Jews and Arabs; Protestants and Catholics; Muslims,
Croats, and Serbs. The real differences are between those who embrace
peace and those who would destroy it; between those who look to the
future and those who cling to the past; between those who open their
arms and those who are determined to clench their fists. ~William J.
Clinton.

"Praise the Lord; praise God our Saviour! For each day He carries us
in His arms."
Psalm 68:19
God carries us in His arms, day by day - whether we know it or not.
This is the rest Jesus promised, the rest spoken of throughout the
Bible. We can rest because He is the Saviour who carries us. Let
yourself rest in His arms as He carries you through the rough spots of
life. You were never meant to go anywhere alone. He's carrying you;
you just need to realize it so you can experience peace.
Will the church influence how you vote for the draft constitution (
if you are a Kenyan) Click Here to comment
