Reuters Ipsos poll of 23,000 adults in 22 countries showed that more than 40
percent of people from India and China believe that aliens walk among us
disguised as humans, while those least likely to believe in this are from
Belgium, Sweden and the Netherlands (8 percent each). However, the majority
of people polled, or 80 percent, don't believe aliens in our midst. "It
would appear that that there's a modest correlation between the most
populated countries and those more likely to indicate there may be aliens
disguised amongst them compared with those countries with the smaller
populations," said John Wright, Senior Vice President of market research
firm Ipsos. "Maybe the it's a simple case that in a less populated country
you are more likely to know your next door neighbor better," he said. More
men than women -- 22 percent vs 17 percent -- believe that alien beings are
on earth. Most of those believers are under the age of 35, and across all
income classes, the survey showed. Of those who do not believe, most are

many controversial topics, including the new Health Care bill that recently

has campaigned on the concepts of "Hope" and "Change," and with his newly
proposed biometric ID card, at least one of them seems possible. A biometric
ID card is just like any other identification card in many ways; it includes
the height, weight, color of one's eyes and a picture. But the main
difference between a biometric ID card and a typical government or state
issued ID is significant. The proposed new biometric ID card would contain
all of the same information, but also a fingerprint that is scannable. No
two people have the same patterns on their fingers. The government has not
decided how it would store this on a card yet, but may use a strip somewhere
on the back so the card can be swiped easily. The main purpose of the card
is to help immigrants get work quicker and help them become a citizens.
However, it could eventually be required for everything from voting to
travel. Many countries in Europe currently employ similar methods.

With the stated intent of combating illegal immigration, Senators Chuck
Schumer (D., N.Y.) and Lindsey Graham (R., S.C.) are crafting new
legislation to institute a national identification card. The card would be
required in order to be eligible for employment, and would in turn enable
employers to identify and reject illegal immigrants who are seeking work.
The card would be biometric, i.e., containing identifying characteristics
unique to the physiology of the cardholder. In this case the biometrics
would most likely be comprised of either a fingerprint or a scan of the
veins on the back of the hand. This is not the first time a biometric card
has been proposed: in the wake of 9-11, there was a strong push for a
national ID card on the basis of national security. Schumer and Graham claim
that the institution of a national ID would not be accompanied by the
creation of a complementary database; however, no national identification
system has ever operated independently of a database. It would be impossible
to run a national ID system without a corresponding database available for
purposes of verification.

Therefore, this new policy seems to say that the United States would not use
nuclear weapons or threaten to use them against nations who have no nuclear
weapons in their arsenal and who are abiding by the terms of the Nuclear
Non-Proliferation Treaty. That is very kind of the United States, but Obama
raised the specter of attacking the two nations which President Bush branded
in 2001 as "Rogue States" -- North Korea and Iran.

To fully understand how President Obama could dramatically change our
Nuclear Posture policy, you have to go back to the understanding of our

time ago. In 1989, I was studying the plan to produce the New World Order
when I read Constance Cumbey's "Hidden Dangers of the Rainbow", in which she
stated that the Illuminati had decided that all adherents of all three
religions who are Monotheistic had to be eradicated.

These three global Monotheistic religions are: Islam, Judaism, and
Christianity.

Because of their sheer numbers, Muslims were targeted first.

And, the Global Elite started waging war -- nuclear war -- against Iraq in
1991, did they not? Coalition Troops, led by American forces, used Depleted
Uranium weapons for the first time against the Iraqi Armed Forces. Then, in

appeared to have unseated the government of President Kurmanbek Bakiyev, who
reportedly fled to the southern city of Osh. Bakiyev has led the country
since 2005, when he headed the so-called Tulip Revolution that deposed
autocratic leader Askar A. Akayev."

America has a vital stake in keeping this small country in the pro-West
camp. Without the massive Manas Airbase, operations in Afghanistan would
become really very difficult.

"State television reported that the new government is led by opposition
leader Roza Otunbayeva, a lawmaker and former foreign minister under
Bakiyev. Otunbayeva was expected to address parliament Thursday morning. The
situation was being watched closely by Washington, which uses the Manas base
at the airport in the capital, Bishkek, to ferry supplies in and out of
Afghanistan. Manas is the only remaining American base in Central Asia and
is considered vital to the Afghanistan war effort ... Kyrgyz opposition
leaders have called for closure of Manas because, they say, the base could
put the country at risk if the U.S. becomes involved in a military conflict
with Iran. And at least twice in recent years Bakiyev has threatened to end
U.S. use of the airport, but reconsidered after negotiating larger
payments."

The new premier of Kyrgyzstan wasted no time in calling Russia's PM, Putin.

I searched the news wires and could not find where the new premier had
called President Obama. The very fact that the new premier called Putin
first is a strong indication that her new government will be pro-Russian.
This next news story takes this probability a step further.

President Kurmanbek Bakiev to flee the country. On Wednesday, Russian Prime
Minister Vladimir Putin denied any involvement by his country in the turmoil
after his Kyrgyz counterpart said that Putin gave the go-ahead to the
revolt. But whether or not the Kremlin urged the Kyrgyz opposition to call
its supporters into the streets, Moscow has a lot to gain and Washington a
lot to lose from the bloody upheaval that has ensued."

The major advantage Washington may lose is the major airforce base known as
Manas.

"The struggle came to a head in February of last year, when the Kyrgyz
handed the U.S. military base an eviction notice just weeks after Russia
provided the impoverished country with a $2 billion loan and $150 million in
aid ... Washington soon reached a deal with Kyrgyz leaders to keep the base
open — in exchange for a tripling of the yearly rental to $60 million ... In
a March 5 interview with TIME, an Obama Administration senior official said
it had been a close call for the U.S. 'That we have the Manas base in
Kyrgyzstan is a great achievement', he said. 'Russia didn't want to allow us
to have that. They put down $2 billion to get us out'."

Now, apparently, Russia has overthrown Kyrgyzstan and is now pulling that

NAS President in damage control over climategate [Excerpts]

BBC reports, 20 February 2010, the President of the US National Academy of
Sciences saying that the recent controversies surrounding climate research
have damaged the image of science as a whole.

"There is some evidence that the distrust has spread," Dr Cicerone told BBC
News.

"There is a feeling that scientists are suppressing dissent, stifling their
competitors through conspiracies."

It has been endemic for a long time and not just with climate research. The
public have only now become aware of how corrupted the scientific
establishment has become.

Those who have been following the creation-evolution controversy would
already know about the problem. That is what the movie "Expelled" is all
about, but it was mocked and denied by the likes of Oxford Professor
Dawkins, the public face of the scientific establishment....The Geological
Society of London, as does the Geological Society of Australia, aggressively
censor views they do not like, as Earth Science Ireland also tried to do.

"People expect us to do things more in the public light and we just have to
get used to that," he said. "Just as science itself improves and
self-corrects, I think our processes have to improve and self-correct."

I don't hold out much hope that the changes he has in mind are anything more
than cosmetic. I may be wrong. But I will be prepared to acknowledge that
there has been a substantive change when Science and Nature regularly
publish papers critical of evolution and supportive of Intelligent Design. I
will change my mind when the Smithsonian includes creationist
interpretations of their fossil displays. I'll admit I was wrong when the
Geological Society of America, Australia and London allow creationist
geologists to present ideas about Flood geology at their meetings.

I won't hold my breath.

The Obama Administration and Sanctions on Iran: The Farce Deepens

For more than a year I have repeatedly pointed out that the Obama
Administration's strategy of increasing the level of sanctions against
Iran has been a mess. Deadlines set by the U.S. government for
September and then December weren't met. Even afterward, the
government had not even established publicly (and it seems not even
privately) its basic position on what sanctions should be.
Congressional proposals for a tougher stance were discouraged and
ignored.

Now President Obama once again assures us in early April:

"My hope is that we are going to get this [sanctions] done this
spring. So I'm not interested in waiting months for a sanctions regime
to be in place, I'm interested in seeing that regime in place in
weeks."

Over and over again we were assured, apparently without basis, that
Russia and China were going to support increased sanctions. With the
Obama Administration in office now for 14 months, Moscow and Beijing
seem no closer to supporting such a policy than they were when the
process began.

Now there is more news. It is April and there are no immediate
prospect for sanctions. Indeed, the issue is not even on the agenda
for the UN Security Council this month. In May, the rotating
presidency goes to Lebanon , a country in which Hizballah, an Iranian
client, has a veto power over every decision. The Lebanese government
has already declared that it will be supportive of Tehran .

June, anyone? Just remember that spring ends June 22 and no doubt we
will be discussing the lack of increased sanctions on the day summer
begins.

Government officials who are well-informed tell me they believe there
might not be any increased sanctions at all.

I repeat: It now seems to be a race between Iran getting nuclear
weapons and inadequate increased sanctions being implemented, too
little and too late.

To be fair, some companies have stopped gasoline sales to Iran,
possibly due to behind-the-scenes U.S. pressure but Iran has been able
to make up for the deficit easily on the spot market. There has been
some decline in Iranian exports, perhaps merely temporary, as
countries like India and China worry about the security of the supply.

The problem is that this kind of action doesn't amount to a great deal
compared to what could be accomplished by either a multinational
effort of willing countries-- Britain , Germany , and France want to
go further than the United States --or a successful effort at the UN.
It should be remembered that the Obama administration consciously and
explicitly played down the importance of U.S. leadership and extolled
consensus, thereby reducing any American ability to direct
international campaigns.

This massive failure regarding Iran sanctions should be crystal clear.
Whether or not strong sanctions would have had a chance to slow or
undermine the Iranian drive for nuclear weapons can legitimately be
debated. But we're not going to get a chance to find out.

So what does it mean when President Obama tells the New York Times
that Iran is working to get nuclear weapons, calls this effort
misguided, and vows to stop it?

How is it misguided if Tehran has shown that it can get nuclear
weapons and long-range missiles in the face of a declared Western
attempt to stop it but which in fact extracts little additional cost?
Looks pretty well guided to me, as well guided as are Iran 's
long-range missiles.

This was the first test of this administration's foreign policy
philosophy and ability. The challenge was not necessarily to stop Iran
but at least to make a credible effort at trying to do so. The
president and his team have failed miserably.
