Hindus, or the non-communal majority within the majority, "who have
taken their individuality permitted in Sanatan Dharma (the eternal
faith) to the extreme" — or for not being communal enough should be
treated as 'traitors'.

See the following article how Hindus are treated in Bhaarat

HR & CE Act - A Fraud on Constitution - Cover Story in "Uday India"

HR (Hindu Religious Endowment) and CE (Charitable Endowments) Act

A FRAUD ON CONSTITUTION

By BR Haran

The recent episode of opening the secret vaults of Trivandrum Anantha
Padmanaba Swamy Temple on the orders of Supreme Court and the
subsequent expose of its wealth gave yet another opportunity to the
'secular' brigade to harp on and condemn Hindu religious traditions.
The secular brigade, which never opens its mouth about the richness of
the minority institutions and the huge foreign money flowing into
them, gave 'generous' suggestions on how the temple's wealth could be
used for the 'benefit' of the nation and its citizens thereby
upholding 'secularism'. As the secular brigade exhibited its
cleverness by talking only about the wealth of Hindu Temples, a
section of Hindus exposed its stupidity by debating how other ancient
temples could also have such wealth and how they could be used for the
uplift of society. One naïve scholar, asserting his scholarship, went
to the extent of petitioning the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister requesting
her to dig out the "wealth" present under the Garuda Mandapam of the
famous Srirangam Temple.

Is Hindu Religious Endowment Act Constitutional?

The Law of the Land, which is common and uniform throughout the
country across all states and union territories for the religious
minorities, is not so for the Hindu majority. This anomaly is clearly
evident from the fact that the "Hindu Religious and Charitable
Endowments Act' is not uniform across the country. In a 'secular'
country, which is supposed to have equal respect for all the
religions, how could a state have control of only Hindu Temples and
not other religious worshipping places? How come the HR and CE Act is
enacted in some states and not so in some other states? So, it
automatically throws a big question, whether the charter of HR and CE
Act is Constitutional?

Secularism as Anti-Hinduism

Although the Constituent Assembly felt that 'secularism' is 'respect
for all religions' in Indian parlance, it has degenerated into pseudo
and farcical over the years, and become a synonym for 'anti-Hinduism'.
The 'secular brigade', which comprises almost all major political
parties, major and mainstream media houses (both print and electronic)
and most of all intellectuals and 'celebs', has wrecked havoc in the
society causing deep divisions.

While the "secular" political parties indulge in
vote bank politics by adopting appeasement policies, the "secular"
media, in connivance with those parties, take a blatantly
anti-majority and pro-minority position religiously, notwithstanding
its practice of creating and fuelling caste wise divisions among the
majority community. On the other hand, the "intellectual" section of
the secular brigade, which is mostly left-oriented with a "liberal"
attitude enjoy travel tours with five star treatment, organized by
alien forces, to attend

seminars and present lectures against the interests of their own
country India, notwithstanding their talks and writings, which are
blatantly anti-majority in the name of secularism.

Invasion, Survival and continuance of hostility

The survival and sustenance of Hindu Dharma could be
attributed mainly to two aspects namely, Temple Tradition and Acharya
Parampara. The invaders were also aware of it and that was why they
focused on destroying the temples, which stood tall as magnificent
symbols of our cultural heritage. If the Islamists indulged in
iconoclasm and forceful conversion, the Christians indulged in
inculturation and evangelisation in addition to iconoclasm. During the
British regime, they brought the temples under the government control
in order to usurp the temple properties and loot their wealth.

After independence, our national leaders made a huge blunder of
framing a Constitution, which did not reflect our ethos at all. Stuck
with a colonial mindset, they relied on the British Constitution and a
few other western countries' constitutions and framed ours. Despite
the partition and birth of Pakistan on religious grounds, they failed
to exchange the population and created a Hindusthan. Later on, the
continuation of McCauley System of Education clubbed with the
successive governments following Nehruvian Secularism, the so-called
independence turned out to be only a transfer of power, as the
sufferings of the majority continued due to the second class treatment
it got from the state.

The practice of vote bank politics and appeasement
policies led to a gradual and steady acquisition of lands and
properties and construction of worshipping places by the minorities
totally disproportionate to their population. On the other side, the
state started taking control of a large number of Hindu Temples and
Muths while simultaneously using the temple revenue for civil and
non-Hindu purposes leading to the reduction of temple lands and
properties. Over the years, thousands of temples have also been
demolished by the respective state governments in the name of
developing infrastructures.

That which happened to the Temple tradition, happened
to the Acharya Parampara too. In a country which has a glorious
tradition of Guru-Sishya Parampara and great reverence for Acharyas
and Religious Gurus, moral values have degenerated to the extent of
foisting cases on them and placing them under incarceration and
subjecting them to even physical harassment. Governments run by pseudo
secular political parties have developed the temerity to arrest Hindu
Swamijis on foisted charges and imprison them purely for political
reasons. This outrageous act of persecuting Hindu Gurus has started
only with the advent of the UPA government led by alien-headed
Congress. The atrocious trend, which started with the outrageous
assault on Kanchi Acharyas, continues unabated, as evidenced by the
brutal murder of Swami Lakshmananada Saraswathi and his disciples,
incarceration of Swami Amritananda Dev Tirtha, Shankaracharya of the
PoK-based Sri Sharada Sarvagya Peeth, harassment of Sadhvi Pragnya,
Singh Thakur (both on false charges of involvement in Malegon blasts
and without even a shred of admissible evidence), imprisonment of
Swami Aseemanand foisting the involvement in Samjhautha Train blasts
on him maligning Sri Sathya Sai Baba by concocting dreadful stories
about his Ashram activities even after his Samadhi and the atrocious
midnight assault on Swami Baba Ramdev and his disciples even while
they were sleeping.

The unending assault on Temple traditions and Acharya
Parampara proves that the Hindu Samaj continues to suffer despite the
so-called independence.

De-Hinduisation as objective

If India still stands as a 'Hindu Nation' without losing its core
values of religious tradition and cultural heritage despite the
devastation perpetrated by the alien forces for more than thousand
years, it is purely because of its spiritual strength and the basic
principles of Sanatana Dharma. As the alien religions are not true
religions per se, but purely political concepts in the garb of
religions, they operate with the aim of capturing this nation. To
accomplish this aim, de-Hinduisation of Bhaarat - India becomes a
necessity, which can be realised only by capturing or influencing the
four pillars of democracy.

On the one hand, they have slowly and steadily infiltrated into the
political, bureaucratic, educational and health care systems and to
some extent into judiciary also. On the other, they indulge in
expanding their land holdings, educational and health care
institutions and infrastructures, increasing their domination even in
entertainment industry, preaching and propagating their faiths and
converting the gullible masses. Their political influence helps them
increase their covert activities through their missionaries and NGOs
and the secular media power extends huge support by projecting those
activities as genuine.

Strategies for De-Hinduisation

To achieve the objective of De-Hinduising India, the secular
brigade applies the strategies of attacking Religious Tradition,
Cutlural Heritage,

TO CITE A FEW EXAMPLES FOR THE ATTACK ON RELIGIOUS TRADITION

Questioning of age old tradition of not allowing women between the age
group of 10 and 50 being followed at Sabarimala; conducting needless
debates on TV Channels; conspiracy by a Christian actress from
Karnataka that she did the impossible act of touching the Iyappa
Murthy inside the narrow sanctum sanctorum of Sabarimala

Questioning the age-old tradition of Guruvayur in cleaning the temple
after the visit of non-Hindus; questioning the tradition of dress code
being adopted in the same temple for ages; conducting unnecessary
debates on this tradition; questioning the ritual of 'Deva Prasnam'
followed traditionally in Kerala temples.

Denigration of the formation of Ice-Lingam at the cave shrine of
Amarnath; creating false stories about it

Questioning the age-old tradition of not allowing foreigners in Puri
Jagannath Temple and debating the ritual of 'Mahaprasadam' practiced
in the same temple.

Arrest of Acharyas and Swamijis on imposed charges and denigration of
their institutions.

This was intended to stop their reaching out to the
masses and conducting a lot of activities which led to the stoppage of
conversions.

Is Washington Refocusing on Kashmir?Ramtanu Maitra
29 August 2011

After a brief interlude, it seems Kashmir is back on Washington's
agenda. Why do I think so? There are a number of reasons. Pakistan-US
relations are in deep doo-doo, but no Afghan solution of any kind is
possible without a favourable nod from Pakistan. So why not massage
Pakistan by bringing up Kashmir? Further, those in Washington who are
keen to get a grip on Pakistan's nuclear arsenal, or at least think
they ought to, also believe a "little concession" to Pakistan by
forcing India to the discussion table on Kashmir would be a small
price to pay.

A Brit in Obama's Court

In this milieu, I see the presence in Washington of Alexander Evans, a
counsellor in the British diplomatic service currently on sabbatical
as the Henry A. Kissinger Chair in International Relations and Foreign
Policy at the Library of Congress, as a signal. In January 2012 he
will move to become a senior fellow at Yale University's Jackson
Institute for Global Affairs.

Evans worked previously at the US Department of State as a senior
adviser, first to Ambassador Richard Holbrooke and then to Ambassador
Marc Grossman, successively the US Special Representative for
Afghanistan and Pakistan. He was on loan to the State Department from
the British Foreign Office, a measure of how closely the American
foreign policy apparatus works with that of Britain, the old
colonials. Evans was brought to Washington because he knows best what
the Americans do not know very well any longer, and that is, you
guessed it, Kashmir.

Before working in the US, Evans was First Secretary Political at the
British High Commission in Islamabad and in New Delhi and a member of
the Policy Planning Staff in London. He worked on former Prime
Minister Tony Blair's 2007 policy review, "Britain in the World."

Evans, an analyst with the BBC on South Asian affairs for many years,
is, in his own words, a "Kashmir specialist." In his profile the
Amazon.com website he states: "I am a Kashmir specialist at the Centre
for Defence Studies, King's College London. I first visited Kashmir in
1992 and since then have paid a number of return visits and written
several book chapters and various research articles on contemporary
Kashmir." I am sure he is an expert. I also know the stable he belongs
to; it is run by Tony Blair and his protégé, David Miliband.

Obama on Kashmir

Why was Evans brought to Washington and put on the marquee if
resolution of the Kashmir dispute between India and Pakistan is no
longer of interest to the Americans? Well, that policy could change,
and Washington may find Alexander Evans' geopolitical input of great
use.

One may recall that prior to his election as president of the United
States, Nobel Laureate Barack Obama was mouthing his resolve to change
and settle issues that hurt the United States' interests, slowed down
progress and upset world peace. Since he became president, a lot of
water has flowed down the Potomac, but change for the better remains
elusive. Not only have none of the unresolved issues been settled, but
President Obama faces new, difficult issues such as Libya, Syria,
Egypt, to name a few, where he looks involved, and yet, not involved.

In 2008 one of the issues the president-to-be promised the American
people he would take up was the Kashmir dispute. In an interview
broadcast on MSNBC, Obama suggested that his administration would
encourage India to solve the Kashmir dispute with Pakistan, so that
Islamabad could better cooperate with the United States on
Afghanistan. Obama's definitive thesis was explained thus:

- "The most important thing we're going to have to do with
respect to Afghanistan is actually deal with Pakistan. And we've got
to work with the newly elected government there (Pakistan) in a
coherent way that says, terrorism is now a threat to you. Extremism is
a threat to you. We should … try to resolve the Kashmir crisis so that
they (Pakistan) can stay focused not on India, but on the situation
with those militants."

Almost two years later, at a New Delhi news conference with India's
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, President Obama responded to a question
about what role the United States could play in resolving the Kashmir
dispute: "With respect to Kashmir, obviously this is a longstanding
dispute between India and Pakistan; as I said yesterday, I believe
that both Pakistan and India have an interest in reducing tensions
between the two countries. The United States cannot impose a solution
to these problems, but I have indicated to Prime Minister Singh that
we are happy to play any role that the parties think is appropriate in
reducing these tensions. That's in the interests of the region; it is
in the interests of the two countries involved; and it is in the
interests of the United States of America."

Tony Blair's Handyman: David Miliband

It is evident that during those two years President Obama mellowed his
earlier-held strident views on resolving the Kashmir issue. But the
change did not come about by developing a better understanding; it was
a result of his efforts to engage the late Richard Holbrooke, who was
the Obama administration's special envoy to Afghanistan-Pakistan
(shortened to sound like the quacking of a duck: "Af-Pak"), in the
Kashmir affair, which backfired rather spectacularly with the Indians.

New Delhi mobilized the media and its other resources against
Holbrooke, whose February 2009 scheduled visit to India the Indians
thought was primarily to discuss Kashmir. Finally the trip was
officially abandoned, and on July 25 US State Department spokesman
P.J. Crowley told journalists in Washington: "I think the ambassador
(Holbrooke) is not going to stop in India on this trip. There was a
mismatch in terms of scheduling. So, he will do that on a future trip
to the region." That trip to India never took place and the necessity
to "resolve the Kashmir dispute" was never uttered so loudly again by
the present US administration.

But the dream did not vanish altogether; it just took a breather. As
long as Washington continues to depend on its colonial cousins in
Britain, the game of geopolitics can only be stalled, but not
abandoned. That Kashmir would remain a live issue within the Obama
administration became evident when, in the aftermath of the November
2008 Mumbai attack and prior to his visit to India, Tony Blair's boy,
David Miliband, told the Guardian on Jan.15, 2009, that the Mumbai
attack was the handiwork of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), that the war on
terror had been mistaken, and that individual groups like LeT should
be targeted and brought to justice.

Miliband added that solving the Kashmir issue would deny LeT its "call
to arms" and free Pakistan to fight al-Qaeda and Taliban militants in
its tribal areas. He was quoted: "Although I understand the current
difficulties, resolution of the dispute over Kashmir would help deny
extremists in the region one of their main calls to arms, and allow
Pakistani authorities to focus more effectively on tackling the threat
on their western borders."

Why Miliband was not given the Holbrooke treatment by New Delhi and
instead was allowed to visit India is another matter. But then one
must note that the number of British assets within India, within the
middle class and among those who walk the corridors of power,
including the Indian prime minister, make it plain that Indians have a
'thing" going for their old colonial masters. Whether it is the love
of British liberalism or the usual loyalty of slaves to their master,
it is difficult to fathom. But the bottom line is that Miliband not
only went to India but spent some "quality time" with Rahul Gandhi in
some dusty Indian village.

Evans and the Kashmir Study Group

Now, coming back to Evans, the question is what this British foreign
policy "expert on Kashmir" is expected to deliver to the Obama
administration? Going by his track record, it seems Evans is very
close to non-valley Kashmiris (these are the great many Mirpuris who
play ball with the British colonials on the "independent Kashmir"
campaign in London) and helps them to keep the fires of an independent
Kashmir burning.

Like all right-minded individuals, Evans does not like violence. He is
disturbed by the violence that occurs in the Indian part of Kashmir.
But he is less vocal about the killings that take place in Gilgit,
Baltistan and elsewhere in the Pakistani part of Kashmir.

Following the 9/11 events, Mr. Evans was distinctly worried that
Pakistan's ability to continue with its terrorist-deployment strategy
inside the Indian part of Kashmir would be curtailed by Washington. In
an article on Oct. 2, 2001 in the Kashmir Observer titled "Attack on
America: Lasting Impact on Kashmir," Evans deliberated on the changes
he saw coming. He wrote: "What might all these changes mean in
practice? Pressure - serious pressure - to end militancy in Kashmir
changes the equation within Kashmir completely, along with
Kashmir-Islamabad and Kashmir-Delhi dealings." It is evident that
Evans was worried about pressure on the militants and those who run
the militants.

He was also concerned about the Kashmiri opposition political leaders
belonging to the Hurriyat and APHC, whom he must have courted for
long. He wrote: "The political leaders who will need to do the most
thinking are those within the APHC. A new regional order - and a
powerfully aggressive US policy on anything that smacks of terrorism
(groups already on the US list of terrorist organizations are unlikely
to be able to distance themselves from the tag) - demands a new
political strategy from the APHC umbrella. This will prove difficult
to craft, and the residual tensions between moderates and hardliners,
nationalists and pro-Pakistanis, and the smaller constituency of
political Islamists, may bubble to the surface."

Mr. Evans was also concerned about the Kashmiri diaspora that he
handles so deftly on behalf of the British colonials. He wrote: "The
impact will also be felt by Kashmiris as a whole. The Kashmiri
diaspora will never enjoy the freedoms it has, since the 1960s, drawn
upon to agitate and support militancy in Britain, Europe and the US.
Various prominent Kashmiri exiles may find their continuing residency
overseas subject to stringent restraints."

In concluding the article, he wrote what he really wants to achieve
while working in the very friendly environs of Washington: "Of course
a solution to the Kashmir problem is needed, now more than ever, and
it should be pursued. Deeper comprehension of the Kashmir problem is
required, however, if the current low-level crisis in Kashmir is ever
to be resolved. Greater US interest in the issue is welcome,
therefore, and thoughtful analysis coming from the likes of the
Kashmir Study Group, operated from New York, and other organizations
could pave the way for a more informed dialogue among India, Pakistan,
and, it is hoped, the Kashmiris, too."

Now, one of the members of the Kashmir Study Group, Farooq Kathwari,
chairman, CEO and president of Ethan Allan (a large home furnishings
manufacturer and retailer), appointed last September by President
Obama as a member of the President's Advisory Commission on Asian
Americans and Pacific Islanders, is also passionately involved with
the organization that has allegedly dedicated itself to help bring
about a solution to the crisis that has plagued the state of Jammu and
Kashmir for the last decade.

In an interview with rediff.com in September 2000, Mr. Kathwari stated
that the objective of the Kashmir Study Group "is to engage in
fact-finding and the analysis of possible steps toward a solution,
that is, unofficial initiatives by private citizens. The KSG members
have listened to the parties to this conflict, shared ideas, looked
for common ground, explored recommendations and urged actions that
might bring the Kashmir conflict to a settlement."

Mr. Kathwari's son, however, did not believe in such mumbo-jumbo.
According to a report on Daniel Pipes' website (danielpipes.org),
Kathwari Jr. "took leave from Harvard Medical School to go fight in
Kashmir. He did not know any Urdu or anything else about the conflict
except that it was a fight between good and evil. Good meaning of
course Islam, and Hindus were, no doubt, the evil." He died in Kashmir
fighting Indian soldiers, the report said.

Dear all

Namaskar

Massive response to Annaji's appeal for Janlokpal bill is in fact the
expression of frustration of a common man in India towards the rampant
corruption prevailing in every field of government administration.

The way people are supporting Anna ji shows that they have lost their
confidence in the Parliament, the prevailing type of democracy in India and
their political leaders.

At the same time, not many people are aware of what Jan Lokpal bill or for
that matter the lokpal bill drafted by the government is. Through this
protest they are just expressing their keenness to have change in the
present system such that it will get them relief from this deep rooted
corruption in the country.

Though Ann ji is expressing his confidence in the prevailing system of
democracy in the country, but not many intellectuals believe in it. I
suppose it is because of this not many intellectuals are supporting him.

As it appears the Janlokpal bill may bring control on the corrupt people,
but has no provision to prevent it. For this I suppose we need to study the
reasons for corruption and look for the solution for the same.

I believe our party system in politics is a big reason for corruption in
the country. If we can offer a system where no political party is allowed to
contest the election and instead only individuals are allowed, the major
cause of the corruption can be eliminated.

Also if the government confiscate all the political parties funds, and funds
the elections in return, need of huge funds required to contest the election
will go away. This way no body can win the election on the basis of money
power or mussel power, and many experienced educated people will enter the
politics and also win the election. People like Mr Sheshan and Arun Bhatia
will not be required to contest for a party ticket against many criminals
who are preferred over such people by many parties.

In this regard I wish to suggest that let us debate among ourselves this
part of the requirement, come out with a workable system and propose the
same to Anna ji as well as to the government.

I suppose under the prevailing atmosphere such contribution from us will
serve the cause and the country best

Kind regards
Razdan

Here is my complete analysis of the corruption. (1) What is corruption
& Cause of Corruption (2) Mechanism to control corruption (3) What and
how of the controls (4) Indian situation (5) Conclusion. If you read
it and think what is being said, you would not ask imaginary questions
about how will Veda , Smrutis and Gods(what ever it means, I have
never seen this word in Indian traditions).

The following is the outline of the cause of corruption in India and
its "only solutions" provided by Indian Civilizations...

Causes of Corruption:
There is a concept par excellence, that occurs primarily in Dharma
tradition and it is the concept of Vaasanaa. Vaasanaas characterize
the hidden internal hunger of an individual for the gratification
through his senses; the five senses of perception and the five senses
of action; (Karmendriya and Jnyanendriyas).
Vaasanaas drive individual to action or in-action for the
gratification of senses of perception.
Human beings are social animal and every society has its own
conceptual vision of ideals, its world view on ethical and unethical,
its own narration of appropriateness of behaviors, and the
appropriateness of its rights and obligations. The Hindu tradition
captures all of this and much much more under the concept of Dharma
and Adharma.
An individual is corrupt when he/she violates these established
notions of rights and obligations, violates sense of Justice, violates
ethical standards, violates what is Justice and appropriate. Notice
these are considered or judged violation in the contexts of the norms
of a native culture, and in ones own social context. (Within Indian
context the above notions have much better formulation in terms of
Dharma / Adharma or Saamaajic Dharma).
The unbridled gratification of Vaasanaas, (sensual needs)
i.e.Vaasanaas runs amuck; causes the corruption in all spheres of
life; there by damaging and destroying the very fabric of the society
that provides opportunities for the individuals to grow and thrive.
This the situation in current India hence India has become a corrupt
society.
For lack of the better word, let us translate Vaasanas as internal
hungers. It could be hunger for food, hunger for beauty, for power,
wealth, carnal desires etc etc... It is these desires that drive the
activities of the individuals and the gratification occurs through the
senses of perception.

Conclusion: Corruption occurs, when the controls to curb the
fulfillment of Vaasanas (internal hungers) through sense
gratifications are destroyed and compromised or are entirely non-
existent.

Mechanisms to Control Corruption: A stable Society provides internal
mechanisms for the gratifications of the individuals Vaasanaas,
desires hungers.
As shown above the of occurrence of corruption needs two aspects to it,
Individuals Vaasanaas satisfied through the gratification of senses,
and the lack of controls that would keep a check on the sense
gratification
From the above 1.1 we can conclude that if an individual has complete
control on his senses (Indriya Nigraha, a term in Dharma tradition),
then the person will not indulge in corruption. Hence a persons
complete control on the senses (Indriya Nigraha) is sufficient
condition for a person to be un-corruptible.
On the other hand from 1.2 above we see that if there are enough
societal controls in place to force an individual (& not because he
wants) to keep away from excessive gratifications of the Senses to
give in to his Vaasanaas (inner hungers) then again we can control the
extent of corruption. Providing such societal controls is only a
necessary, but not sufficient, condition for checking the corruption
of an individual hence society. We will call these "external controls
or societal controls".
The second of these two controls is coercive and goes against the
grain of the individual who has strong proclivity for the satisfaction
of his Vaasanas. Hence the solution in 3 above, i.e the solution
providing only for the necessary condition, will always fall short and
will need constant vigile of the society.

What and how of the above controls?
How does an individual achieve "Indriya Nigraha", i.e. control on
sense organs?
The YOGA-JNyaana and practice provides for the "Indriya Nigraha", i.e
complete control on the sense organs.
This is why Chaanakya in his Neeti Shaastra says the following.
(Sukhasya Moolam Dharmam, Dharmasya Moolam Artham, Arthasya Moolam
Raajyam and Rajyasya Moolam Indriya Jaya..). Here he is using this
sequence, because the Raaja was heriditary. But in Democracy we elect
Raaja, hence the Indriya Jaya must be the ethos and requirement for
the masses. It should be taught in schools and encouraged in society.
(Please notice the importance of Yoga Gurus in the process)
What are the External Controls / Societal Controls?:
External Controls (or Societal Controls) are put in place, through
the creation of Value systems, by creating social institutions, by
providing local heroes and aspirations who idealize the fulfilling of
these values, by creating effective Justice and legal system that are
in consonance with the values and the world view of that civilization
and society, by creating institutions of support system and care
sytems. It takes thousands of years to come up a with a world view
that is evolutionary, has notion of Justice, notions of ethics, the
sense of fairness and appropriateness etc. etc. These are the external
controls a society

Situation in India:
Yoga-JNyaana the Internal Control:
The Govt. of India and Marxixts along with the Missionary and Marxists
do all in their power to keep such national building, character
building and control building aspects from the school systems, by
branding Yoga-JNyaana as religion. Even though it is the foundation of
molding and transforming individual drawbacks in to strengths, hence
base on the nature of Human beings. This, was and is, our Nations
first Failure in nation building, hence has contributed hugely to
promotes Corruption.
External Controls / Societal Controls:
In India these internal value systems, "internal ethos" based
institutions, innate ethical tradition and institutions have been
entirely killed. The local heroes who measured and idealized our value
systems have been and are being constantly dehumanized, denigrated and
Character assassinated. It was done first by the Islamic
fundamentalist forces, followed by Christian colonization, and in the
last sixty years by the Congi-Marxists combine; by the imposition of
Christo-European colonial education system, their value system, legal
system, alien philosophical system, and the alien world view and
narration of the Bharatiyas. This imposition continues to keep us
mentally shackled and makes us second class citizens of the world, who
borrow or copy every thing, there by destroying pride. The worst of
all it imposes a foreign language on us, thus cutting us off from our
past innate values, our world view, our own narration, our own heroes,
our own ethos, our own aspirations. This has destroyed the very fabric
of our society, and institutions that would prompt us to be upright
and honest. This is the Second Cause of our unbridled corruption.

Conclusion:
The only way to change and control the ills of our society are to
reverse trend and implement the steps to incorporate Yoga-Jnyaana
system in schools and public sphere & implement the External controls
indicated above.

Final comments:
In the indian context Government has barred the Yoga-JNyaana based
solution by mistranslating Dharma as religion and imposing the
Secularism (protestant theology based) in our constitution. The
secularism forecloses any chances of Govt. supporting India's internal
ethos.
In Indian context the social institution, education system, the world
view, self image are all destroyed by the current Congi-Leftie Govt
today and by colonizers (Christian as well as Muslims) prior to that.)
Only Indian civilization provides for the Yaga-Jnyaana based solution..

This I believe is the source and the solution to the problem of
corruption having run amuck.

We do not know how the response posted by Maanya Shri Satish Kapoor jee was
an answer to what we had written, asked for or desired to know.

He wrote: It is important to be aware of the facts about the
caste system that it originated from "Varna classification" envisaged
by Sage Manu thousands
of years ago.

Also, that "He classified the 'human efforts' into four
broad categories, which constitute four pillars for building a progressive
society", and "reecognised that the human resource is the most precious and
productive resource".

But we are sorry to note he kept us completely in the dark as to where and
in which particular verses had the above been said or envisaged? How
would anyone
then be able to know whether they were true and authentic or not? Till that was
done, they shall remain mere empty and meaningless assertions of no importance
or consequence.

Varna Vyavastha, Respected
Sir, is a distinctive peculiarity, a
characteristic, a distinguishing feature and unique identity of our
Dharma: Hindu
Dharma, Sanatan Dharma, or what is popularly known as Hinduism, and it
has been there
as an integral part of it ever since the beginning of Creation and its
present existence of last hundreds
of thousands millennia.

How can the advice then, that it ought to be dismissed and needed to be
banished be accepted, as also the given reason that "Nobody bothers to know the
caste of people for conducting any commercial activity" and the "people of
all castes work together, not 'even' knowing the caste of colleagues"?

We were also assured that "the boundaries of caste will melt, if we stop
giving any official recognition to the caste and bring about a casteless
society as written in the directive principle of the Constitution"?

On the above, we would like to ask: Have
even our social/ socio-religious systems, 'religious' faiths,
convictions, beliefs
and practices got to become subservient to, conditioned, adapted, modified and
reshaped to come in tune and conformance with the 'directive principle of
the Constitution', and the Hindu Society and its social structure
reorganised, altered
and modified so that it becomes a casteless society, simply because
the Constitution drafted
by the British and discussed and adopted by their education educated
mental offspring, the band
of Secularists and Socialists, had said so, notwithstanding what the
very person acclaimed as the father of it, Dr. Mr. BR Ambedkar, had
said about it? In his address to the Rajya Sabha on Sept 2,1953, he
had said :

"People
always keep on saying to me O you are the maker of the Constitution.
My answer is
I was a hack. What I was asked to do, I did much against my will. ….. Sir,
my friends tell me that I have made the Constitution. But I am quite prepared
to say that I shall be the first person to burn it out".

We ask Sir, has poor hapless Hinduism alone got to submit, conform
to and reshape itself to come in accord with the directive principles
of the Constitution,
or the other religions too have to?

It was said, the Varna Vyavastha was envisaged by Sage Manu. But, would
that not mean Sir that it was absent - nay not even heard of and known - before
him? Also, that he himself too had no Varna or Caste of his?

If it is so, we would certainly expect some solid valid corroboratory
evidences from the Scripture known by his name/ and or our ancient history.

But the results of our studies and knowledge of it tell us that
it is not the case; rather, it is quite the opposite of what we have been
made aware of by the author. We quote:

लोकानां
तु विवृद्ध्यर्थं मुख्बाहुरुपादत: ।

ब्राह्मणं क्षत्रियं वैश्यं शूद्रं च निरवर्त्तयत् ॥

Sir! Had Shri Manuji Maharaj
envisaged it, would it not imply that the
Varnas were not present then, that they were not there and did not exist, also,
that the "Seer Manu" himself had no, or did not belong to, any Varna, Caste or
Jaati?

Certainly, it would. But this is not substantiated by - or, is rather
contradicted
and falsified by it, for we find him addressing the listeners therein
by the phrase Dwija-sattamah
(द्विजसत्तमाः), a Varna referring
term, at several places. How could that have been possible had
there been no Varnas before him and it was he who had envisaged the
"Varna Classification"?

We are afraid, the learned author shall have to duly substantiate, established
and authenticate what he has claimed.

There is another question, which too needs to be straightened out.

Before "Sage Manu" envisaged
'Varna Classification', to which class or category did the Hindus
belong? -- Were they just ordinary,
simple human beings and not of any other category of Varnas or Castes?

If so, we would like to know how and on what proofs
and Scriptural evidence had he said that?

We may bring to the kind notice
of Maanya Shri Kapoor jee that even trees,
animals, birds etc have their Varna
divisions or classifications. Were these too Sir envisaged by 'Seer Manu'?

With kind regards and
apologies,

Dr. Ranjeet Singh.

Varna System for Social Harmony, Economic Justice and Growth (By
Satish Kapoor, R.H. # 23, Omega Residency, Baner Road, Baner,
Pune-411045. E-mail satishkapoor@gmail.com) IT is important to be
aware of the facts about the caste system.

It originated from "Varna classification" envisaged by Sage Manu,
thousands of years ago. He classified the "human efforts" into four
broad categories, which constitute four pillars for building a
progressive society. He recognized that the human resource is the most
precious and productive resource. It is of paramount importance to
channelize the human resource and provide a correct direction. The
same human resource would be most destructive and horrifying if not
given due recognition and direction. Most human beings start by
developing physical activities and skills and then elevate to the
higher skills through education, training, practice etc and acquire
the field of their specialization. One of the purpose and advantage of
categorization of professions (without any loss of dignity) is that it
helps to avoid over crowding in any profession. It would help a shift
from conflicting interests to co operation, from human chaos to human
synergy, from
unequal growth to inclusive growth.

According to Hindu Philosophy, every person has some "in born" talents
and qualities based on the "Samskar" built into the soul in the
previous birth. The purpose of the classification was that we
recognize our natural interest, talent and aptitude, use that as base
for building further professional capabilities and acquire higher
level of specialization in the chosen field and take up the profession
in that field. Both, Individual and society shall be benefited if one
is allowed to nurture his hidden strengths and take up the profession
according to his aptitude and skill.

During the course of profession, involving physical skills, we would
develop deeper understanding of the process. This will trigger our
thought process to improve or upgrade the method, develop the devices
(jugaad) to simplify the human involvement. Thus achieve higher output
with lessor effort. If we start educating or training others, about
what we have learnt from our experience and thinking, we sort of
graduate from "shudra" to "Brahmin" category.

However, it is amply clear that such aptitude or in-born talents are
"not hereditary". They may be based on the "Samskars" of previous
birth. It is also possible that the "Samskar" base of previous birth
is too weak to provide a useful base. Therefore, the education and
training given in this birth provides the base for his/her profession.

In any case, all the four types of professions are essential to
constitute the social/economic system. The constructive efforts will
crumble, if any of the four types of profession is eliminated.
Therefore, we cannot correctly evaluate the worth of that type of
profession or to call it dignified of undignified profession.

Most of us have a natural desire to pass on our experience and skills
to our children or the children may naturally learn by observing their
parents and adopt the profession of the parent. However, this cannot
be called inheritance and a base of "caste system". Talent, "samskar",
aptitude, natural in born qualities or interest cannot be inherited,
to form a caste as it is perceived today.

Crux is that, the backwardness of any person cannot be determined by
his/her inheritance. The backwardness lies in lack of opportunity to
get basic nutritious food, lack of education and training to bring out
the natural talent, non availability of conducive social environment
to learn, draining of learning part of life into struggle to keep body
and soul together etc.

Some people argue that "Caste" is embedded in the psyche of Indians.
Yes, that is true and it is also true that this psyche is being
continuously hammered by the politicians into the minds of people for
electoral gains. The same politicians who advocate for enacting caste
based policies, call caste system as a disgrace of Indian society.

Nobody bothers to know the caste of people for conducting any
commercial activity. People of all castes work together, not 'even'
knowing the caste of colleagues. The boundaries of caste will melt, if
we stop giving any official recognition to the caste and bring about a
casteless society as written in the directive principle of the
Constitution.

Caste plays an important role, when people go for arranged marriages.
But, for arranged marriages many other factors like horoscope,
numerology, attitude, beauty, health etc. are also considered. We do
not include these columns in the census. Only caste will be recorded,
because it provides an easy tool to the politicians to address large
chunk of people, to arouse their sentiments and use them as vote banks

We have to recognize each person as a precious human resource.
Recognize the talent and aptitude, nurture the talent and provide
channels to use those skills for the mutual benefit of humanity to
him/her. That does not require any caste. By degenerating "Varna, the
classification of Professional skills" into caste system based on
heredity, the very purpose is reversed, giving regressive and
destructive results.

Varna Classification verses prevailing Economic systemsCurrent
Economic system is heavily inclined towards Capitalism, which was
termed as "vaishya Profession" in Varna system.Communism gives all the
weightage to "Labour", which was termed as "Shudra Profession".Manu's
"Varna System" pleaded for a balanced approach, and identified four
broad categories of Professions. He recognized the importance of both
Labour and Entrepreneurship (Communism & Capitalism, as defined
today). However he realized that we need "Brahmins" the Intellectuals,
the thinking professionals, to oversee the Social & Political Order,
and provide direction and channels for growth and justice. We need the
discoverers, the inventors, innovators etc to upgrade our knowledge
and systems of operation. He recognized that, the persons in
intellectual profession (Brahmins) should study and teach in a
peaceful environment without the pressure of food or material
necessities. Therefore, they were advised to work without any defined
remuneration. At the same time the professionals falling under other
three classifications were advised to recognize the invaluable
contribution of "Brahmins, the Intellectuals" and take care of their
material needs with due respect. "Kshatriyas, the Governing
professionals" were needed to implement the guidelines provided by
"Brahmins". Their duties included the responsibility to provide
security, to maintain law & order, to establish the social order of
equity and justice.Communism crumbled due to lack of motivation to
perform. Entrepreneurship and profit became dirty words. The
Government grabbed entire economic and political power in the name of
"Dictatorship of Proletariat". The Economic order suffered from
imbalance of professional recognition. Capitalism tends to overvalue
the contribution of Capitalists. It suffers from inequitable
distribution of the
benefits of growth and periodically suffers from over production of
certain commodities, driven by the lust of undue Profit.
Inadvertently, the Capitalist had to recognize the value of
Intellectuals, Government and Labour because of the principle of
demand and supply of such professionals. However, still there is
imbalance in favour of people controlling the large commercial
organizations. Sage Manu envisaged to set up the balanced society
and recognized the responsibility of Intellectuals and the Government
to establish justice and equity in the society. We need to pick up the
spirit of his scripture and endeavor to establish a balanced social
order of Equity and justice. The basic spirit was that people should
identify and recognize the in-born talents, professional inclination
and natural strength of each person, augment his natural strength and
let him take up the profession of his/her interest so that he/she can
work with devotion and
dedication. When Sage Manu wrote about "Varna system" the number of
recognized professions might have been in hundreds or thousands. With
the advancement in technology, new professions are sprouting every
day. The recognized professions have multiplied several times. People
have to come out of herd mentality, and take up professions
commensurate with their natural strength and interest.Hindu society
has been reeling in the marsh of "Hereditary based Caste System",
which has impacted the social harmony and economic growth. The result
is just the opposite of the purpose of "Varna System". People take up
jobs, what ever they can, under economic compulsion. The potential of
Human Resource is squandered, because people work as "Misfits" in
their profession. Government is pushing the Indian people back into
the marsh of "Caste System", by giving official recognition to the
Caste of the citizens. Christians, Muslims, Sikhs etc., who
vehemently criticized it, are also falling in the trap of Caste
System.Recently, two popular movies, "Tare Zamin Par" and "Three
Idiots" have nicely demonstrated the original purpose of "Varna
System".In the true spirit of democracy and "Antyodaye" the state must
establish a life long "give and take" direct relationship with every
citizen, irrespective of Caste, Religion or Region. The Government
should Provide direct identity and security, and also give a message
that his/her unlawful activities are also under watch. This will
provide the basic human need of recognition. This will deter people
from

Libya after Gadhafi: Transitioning from Rebellion to Rule
Scott Stewart

28 August 2011

With the end of the Gadhafi regime seemingly in sight, it is an
opportune time to step back and revisit one of the themes we discussed
at the beginning of the crisis: What comes after the Gadhafi regime?

As the experiences of recent years in Iraq and Afghanistan have
vividly illustrated, it is far easier to depose a regime than it is to
govern a country. It has also proved to be very difficult to build a
stable government from the remnants of a long-established dictatorial
regime. History is replete with examples of coalition fronts that
united to overthrow an oppressive regime but then splintered and fell
into internal fighting once the regime they fought against was
toppled. In some cases, the power struggle resulted in a civil war
more brutal than the one that brought down the regime. In other cases,
this factional strife resulted in anarchy that lasted for years as the
iron fist that kept ethnic and sectarian tensions in check was
suddenly removed, allowing those issues to re-emerge.

As Libya enters this critical juncture and the National Transitional
Council (NTC) transitions from breaking things to building things and
running a country, there will be important fault lines to watch in
order to envision what Libya will become.

Divisions

One of the biggest problems that will confront the Libyan rebels as
they make the transition from rebels to rulers are the country's
historic ethnic, tribal and regional splits. While the Libyan people
are almost entirely Muslim and predominately Arab, there are several
divisions among them. These include ethnic differences in the form of
Berbers in the Nafusa Mountains, Tuaregs in the southwestern desert
region of Fezzan and Toubou in the Cyrenaican portion of the Sahara
Desert. Among the Arabs who form the bulk of the Libyan population,
there are also hundreds of different tribes and multiple dialects of
spoken Arabic.

Perhaps most prominent of these fault lines is the one that exists
between the ancient regions of Tripolitania and Cyrenaica. The
Cyrenaica region has a long and rich history, dating back to the 7th
century B.C. The region has seen many rulers, including Greeks,
Romans, Arabs, Ottomans, Italians and the British. Cyrenaica has long
been at odds with the rival province of Tripolitania, which was
founded by the Phoenicians but later conquered by Greeks from
Cyrenaica. This duality was highlighted by the fact that from the time
of Libya's independence through the reign of King Idris I (1951-1969),
Libya effectively had two capitals. While Tripoli was the official
capital in the west, Benghazi, King Idris' power base, was the de
facto capital in the east. It was only after the 1969 military coup
that brought Col. Moammar Gadhafi to power that Tripoli was firmly
established as the seat of power over all of Libya. Interestingly, the
fighting on the eastern front in the Libyan civil war had been stalled
for several months in the approximate area of the divide between
Cyrenaica and Tripolitania.

After the 1969 coup, Gadhafi not only established Tripoli as the
capital of Libya and subjugated Benghazi, he also used his
authoritarian regime and the country's oil revenues to control or
co-opt Libya's estimated 140 tribes, many members of which are also
members of Libya's minority Berber, Tuareg and Toubou ethnic groups.

It is no mistake that the Libyan revolution began in Cyrenaica, which
has long bridled under Gadhafi's control and has been the scene of
several smaller and unsuccessful uprisings. The jihadist Libyan
Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG) has also traditionally been based in
eastern Cyrenaican cities such as Darnah and Benghazi, where
anti-Gadhafi sentiment and economic hardship marked by high levels of
unemployment provided a fertile recruiting ground. Many of these
jihadists have joined the anti-Gadhafi rebels fighting on the eastern
front.

But the rebels were by no means confined to Cyrenaica. Anti-Gadhafi
rebels in Misurata waged a long and bloody fight against government
forces to gain control of the city, and while the Cyrenaican rebels
were bogged down in the Ajdabiya/Marsa el Brega area, Berber
guerrillas based in the Nafusa Mountains applied steady pressure to
the Libyan forces in the west and eventually marched on Tripoli with
Arab rebels from coastal towns such as Zawiya, where earlier uprisings
in February were brutally defeated by the regime prior to the NATO
intervention.

These groups of armed rebels have fought independently on different
fronts during the civil war and have had varying degrees of success.
The different roles these groups have played and, more important,
their perceptions of those roles will likely create friction when it
comes time to allocate the spoils of the Libyan war and delineate the
power structure that will control Libya going forward.

Fractured Alliances

While the NTC is an umbrella group comprising most of the groups that
oppose Gadhafi, the bulk of the NTC leadership hails from Cyrenaica.
In its present state, the NTC faces a difficult task in balancing all
the demands and interests of the various factions that have combined
their efforts to oust the Gadhafi regime. Many past revolutions have
reached a precarious situation once the main unifying goal has been
achieved: With the regime overthrown, the various factions involved in
the revolution begin to pursue their own interests and objectives,
which often run contrary to those of other factions.

A prime example of the fracturing of a rebel coalition occurred after
the fall of the Najibullah regime in Afghanistan in 1992, when the
various warlords involved in overthrowing the regime became locked in
a struggle for power that plunged the country into a period of
destructive anarchy. While much of Afghanistan was eventually
conquered by the Taliban movement — seen by many terrorized civilians
as the country's salvation — the Taliban were still at war with the
Northern Alliance when the United States invaded the country in
October 2001.

A similar descent into anarchy followed the 1991 overthrow of Somali
dictator Mohamed Said Barre. The fractious nature of Somali regional
and clan interests combined with international meddling has made it
impossible for any power to assert control over the country. Even the
jihadist group al Shabaab has been wracked by Somali divisiveness.

But this dynamic does not happen only in countries with strong clan or
tribal structures. It was also clearly demonstrated following the 1979
broad-based revolution in Nicaragua, when the Sandinista National
Liberation Front turned on its former partners and seized power. Some
of those former partners, such as revolutionary hero Eden Pastora,
would go on to join the "contras" and fight a civil war against the
Sandinistas that wracked Nicaragua until a 1988 cease-fire.

In most of these past cases, including Afghanistan, Somalia and
Nicaragua, the internal fault lines were seized upon by outside
powers, which then attempted to manipulate one of the factions in
order to gain influence in the country. In Afghanistan, for example,
warlords backed by Pakistan, Iran, Russia and India were all vying for
control of the country. In Somalia, the Ethiopians, Eritreans and
Kenyans have been heavily involved, and in Nicaragua, contra groups
backed by the United States opposed the Cuban- and Soviet-backed
Sandinistas.

Outside influence exploiting regional and tribal fault lines is also a
potential danger in Libya. Egypt is a relatively powerful neighbor
that has long tried to meddle in Libya and has long coveted its energy
wealth. While Egypt is currently focused on its own internal issues as
well as the Israel/Palestinian issue, its attention could very well
return to Libya in the future. Italy, the United Kingdom and France
also have a history of involvement in Libya. Its provinces were
Italian colonies from 1911 until they were conquered by allied troops
in the North African campaign in 1943.

The British then controlled Tripolitania and Cyrenaica and the French
controlled Fezzan province until Libyan independence in 1951. It is no
accident that France and the United Kingdom led the calls for NATO
intervention in Libya following the February uprising, and the
Italians became very involved once they jumped on the bandwagon. It is
believed that oil companies from these countries as well as the United
States and Canada will be in a prime position to continue to work
Libya's oil fields. Qatar, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates also
played important roles in supporting the rebels, and it is believed
they will continue to have influence with the rebel leadership.

Following the discovery of oil in Libya in 1959, British, American and
Italian oil companies were very involved in developing the Libyan oil
industry. In response to this involvement, anti-Western sentiment
emerged as a significant part of Gadhafi's Nasserite ideology and
rhetoric, and there has been near-constant friction between Gadhafi
and the West. Due to this friction, Gadhafi has long enjoyed a close
relationship with the Soviet Union and later Russia, which has
supplied him with the bulk of his weaponry. It is believed that
Russia, which seemed to place its bet on Gadhafi's survival and has
not recognized the NTC, will be among the big losers of influence in
Libya once the rebels assume power. However, it must be remembered
that the Russians are quite adept at human intelligence and they
maintain varying degrees of contact with some of the former Gadhafi
officials who have defected to the rebel side. Hence, the Russians
cannot be completely dismissed.

China also has long been interested in the resources of Africa and
North Africa, and Gadhafi has resisted what he considers Chinese
economic imperialism in the region. That said, China has a lot of cash
to throw around, and while it has no substantial stake in Libya's oil
fields, it reportedly has invested some $20 billion in Libya's energy
sector, and large Chinese engineering firms have been involved in
construction and oil infrastructure projects in the country. China
remains heavily dependent on foreign oil, most of which comes from the
Middle East, so it has an interest in seeing the political stability
in Libya that will allow the oil to flow. Chinese cash could also look
very appealing to a rebel government seeking to rebuild — especially
during a period of economic austerity in Europe and the United States,
and the Chinese have already made inroads with the NTC by providing
monetary aid to Benghazi.

The outside actors seeking to take advantage of Libya's fault lines do
not necessarily need to be nation-states. It is clear that jihadist
groups such as the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group and al Qaeda in the
Islamic Maghreb see the tumult in Libya as a huge opportunity. The
iron fist that crushed Libyan jihadists for so long has been destroyed
and the government that replaces the Gadhafi regime is likely to be
weaker and less capable of stamping down the flames of jihadist
ideology.

There are some who have posited that the Arab Spring has destroyed the
ideology of jihadism, but that is far from the case. Even had the Arab
Spring ushered in substantial change in the Arab World — and we
believe it has resulted in far less change than many have ascribed to
it — it is difficult to destroy an ideology overnight. Jihadism will
continue to affect the world for years to come, even if it does begin
to decline in popularity. Also, it is important to remember that the
Arab Spring movement may limit the spread of jihadist ideology in
situations where people believe they have more freedom and economic
opportunity after the Arab Spring uprisings. But in places where
people perceive their conditions have worsened, or where the Arab
Spring brought little or no change to their conditions, their
disillusionment could create a ripe recruitment opportunity for
jihadists.

The jihadist ideology has indeed fallen on hard times in recent years,
but there remain many hardcore, committed jihadists who will not
easily abandon their beliefs. And it is interesting to note that a
surprisingly large number of Libyans have long been in senior al Qaeda
positions, and in places like Iraq, Libyans provided a
disproportionate number of foreign fighters to jihadist groups.

It is unlikely that such individuals will abandon their beliefs, and
these beliefs dictate that they will become disenchanted with the NTC
leadership if it opts for anything short of a government based on a
strict interpretation of Shariah. This jihadist element of the rebel
coalition appears to have reared its head recently with the
assassination of former NTC military head Abdel Fattah Younis in late
July (though we have yet to see solid, confirmed reporting of the
circumstances surrounding his death).

Between the seizure of former Gadhafi arms depots and the arms
provided to the rebels by outside powers, Libya is awash with weapons.
If the NTC fractures like past rebel coalitions, it could set the
stage for a long and bloody civil war — and provide an excellent
opportunity to jihadist elements. At present, however, it is too soon
to forecast exactly what will happen once the rebels assume power. The
key thing to watch for now is pressure along the fault lines where
Libya's future will likely be decided.

Radhe Krishna
All,

Motto of Namadwaar

It
is
Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji's desire that if people cannot come up to
do Nama Kirtan, we take Nama Kirtan to the people. This verily is the
motto of Nama Dwaar and the Satsang members.

We visit various Cities, villages and towns spreading the glory of the
divine name and its power.
----------------------------------------
Why
should only a particular group of people, community or caste or
financial or social standing hold the right to receive the Lord's
blessings? Cannot each and everyone receive the Lord's blessings?

While
so many are working towards removing the disparity in social, economic
and educational status of people and attaining equal status for all I
feel that differences at all levels, on any ground.

In receiving the blessings of the Lord should be removed and each and
everyone irrespective of his caste, creed,
financial, educational or social standing should be able to receive
the Lord's blessings.

My constant worry is to make this a reality.

---- Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji
-------------------------------
What I should do to find out the answer for the question Who am I?

Sri
Sri Muralidhara Swamiji:

Ask the same question to yourself and you will find the answer.
-----------------------------------
When
the mind dies, do all the memories go away or does it become
insignificant? Can I understand this way that the mind comes under the
control of the person who kills the mind?

Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji:

The
Body, Prana, Intellect – all of these are 'Jada' (lifeless). When the
mind dies, it is simply not possible for one to identify oneself with
these. When the mind dies (when one realizes), he doesn't
identify himself with the body, prana or the intellect (which are
'jada' or lifeless). It is so, only for others who view him as his body
and its related sheaths.

Let us assume that you knock the door of
a house and the householder asks who is at the door. You say, 'Naan'!
(me!). Again comes the question from inside, 'Who is that?' and you
respond, 'Naan thaan!' (its me, myself) to make your identity clear.

Here
you are mentioning two things – the first 'Naan'(me) refers to your
body, and the second 'thaan'(myself) refers to the Self. When you wish
to make your identity clear, you unknowingly say 'Naan thaan', stressing
on the 'thaan', the Self.

In this context, Ramana Bhagavan, in His Aksharamanamalai says,

'Thaane Thaane Thaththuvam idanai thane kaattuvaai Arunaachalaa'

When
the 'Thaan' (Self) reveals its presence,
the 'Naan' (body) is no more significant and the memories, intellect,
body etc. which are all related to the latter don't exist anymore.
------------------------------------
Everything is going wrong in my life. What shall I do?

Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji:

Seek
the help of Lord Sri Krishna. He will transform the wrong to right, the
bad to good, bad luck to good luck, cries to smiles, sorrows to
happiness, sickness to good health, poor to rich and fool to
intelligent.

All you have to do is just one thing – chant the Mahamantra regularly.
---------------------------------
Is temptation natural for every human? How can I avoid this? Is there
an easy way out?

Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji:

Temptation
is natural, not only for humans, but
also for all creatures on Earth. Instead of trying to avoid it, you can
overcome it. The only way out is to chant, chant and chant. But you
have to be patient. Don't expect immediate results. But the results are
guaranteed. The transformation will happen slowly.
-------------------------------
While
it is evident in Kaliyuga that the bad actions have their almost
immediate reaction, there is hardly any evidence of the good getting
good or getting rid of their problems. Your views, please?

Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji:

Even
from the Nama Dwaar website you can see the benefits that people are
getting by chanting the Mahamantra . This itself is a crystal clear
evidence that in the Kali Yuga, the good deeds definitely give you
fruits – and that the best deed to perform is chanting the Mahamantra.
---------------------------------
Like
birth and death are not in hand of a man. Similarly 'samaya'(time),
'sthana'(place), and 'sanskara' (latent impressions) are not in your
hands. What is the best technique to be satisfied with what you have and
get the best benefit from them?

Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji:

Repeat the above statement written by you as a 'Mantra' at all
possible times. That is enough.
----------------------------------
If the husband is the disciple a Guru, does the wife automatically
become the disciple of the Guru?

Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji:

Yes, if the wife wishes so.
-----------------------------------
Is the reading of 'Chatusloki Bhagavata' equivalent to reading the entire
'Bhagavata'? How many lines will be there in 'chathusloka bhagavatha'

Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji:

Comprising of a total of 7 verses, this is the 'bheeja' (seed) of Bhagavatam.

In
order to provide vitamins to his body, a person takes vitamin tablets.
Yet another takes delicious foods filled with vitamins to satisfy the
same goal. Now, both tablets and delicious foods are means to the same
goal of acquiring vitamins. But isn't the latter more enjoyable and a
pleasant method?

Reading the entire Bhagavatam is akin to the
latter means of vitamin intake, where we read Bhagavatam with not only
'punya' (Merit) in mind, but also for the blissful experience of reading
it.
---------------------------------
Does the remembrance of the Lord at the time of death depend on our
past karma or because of spiritual endeavors during this
life?

Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji:

The
remembrance of the Lord at the time of the death is neither due to past
karma nor due to the spiritual endeavors during this life. It is only
due to the grace of the Guru or God.
------------------------------
I wish to know what is causal body('karna sarira') and 'anandamaya
kosa'. Are they same and what functions do they have?

Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji:

There
are three bodies – the gross body ('sthoola sarira'), subtle body
('sukshma sarira') and the causal body ('karana sarira'). There are 5
Kosas.

The 'anandamaya kosa' is the 'karana sarira'
-------------------------------
Where are our latent tendencies or vasanas stored?

Sri Sri
Muralidhara Swamiji:

The vasanas are stored in the causal body and are carried over by the
subtle body.
---------------------------------
Can women do Sashtanga Namaskar(Flat Prostration)?

Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji:

According to the scriptures, only men are permitted to perform
Sashtanga Namaskar.
