I have sat through many talks over the years given by the Theosophical Society
some of which prompted me to research further. I have found spiritualism
interesting(Gordon Smith) and reincarnation. I don't think it is a cult of
Madame Blavatsky although some people might consider it such. It helps if you

Too much spiritualism could lead to possession or spirits sticking to you.
From a Christian perspective it is best left alone and you should enjoy life
as spiritualism could make you morbid. Take it from me that it is powerful
stuff. The answer that I have been looking for is evolution with Christ. I
